It’s been a week since tdm’s #1 came out… thank you @mirrormirrorrecording for rounding it all up into a recording that captured the wonderful fleeting-ness of it all, and @damonmoonmakesrecords for getting it all the way there. And thanku @rope.bridge for helping us finally share it with folks who care so much about atl music and us. We recorded an album in May 2024, it’s called “#1” and it’s out today. Hope our friends enjoy listening to these songs again, there’s a lot of nice memories tied up with them. DEEP GRATITUDE for everyone @canada.nyc and especially @msgrauer , Sarah Braman, for thoughtfully and lovingly bringing together this huge group of artists celebrating and devoting themselves to working with nature, as observers and hopefully, in some tiny way, protectors. This joyful exhibition of 100 works were miraculously arranged in exquisite and revelatory groupings that were such a pleasure to behold. The space feels warm, calm and open. Deep and satisfying. It will take me time to tag everyone here and there are so many more amazing pieces you’ll have to see for yourselves!! Thank you and congratulations to all.❤️❤️❤️❤️

“203 / H The Collector” follows multiple material and conceptual threads, attending to the meanings carried by collected objects, texts, and images. Scratches, folds, stains, transfers, copies, and residues of use become records of contact, circulation, and time. Benjamin argued that mechanical reproduction transformed the circulation of images and destabilised aura. Here, copies smear, fragment, and repeat incompletely. Rubbings, scans, carbon impressions, thermal receipts, replicated objects, and embedded administrative marks stage reproduction as translation. A note moves from phone screen to document to receipt paper, a medical diagnostic system becomes familial, a map fractures and reforms. Reproduction reveals the infrastructures through which meaning, authority, and value circulate. The exhibition gathers through gestures of attention, intimacy, and relation, while remaining attentive to the systems that organist everyday life: governance, logistics, bureaucracy, extraction, and exchange. Pennies stand in for luck and its failure. Administrative systems surface through ordinary materials. Language falters. Structures hover near collapse. Through Benjamin’s figure of the collector, collecting becomes a practice of noticing what persists after usefulness ends, holding fragments in proximity, and asking: what do we gather, and what gathers around us? We invite you to join us this Saturday, May 23, from 6–9 pm for the opening of 203/H The Collector at the CUE Art Foundation, sharing works by 18 participating artists and researchers brought together through the Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program (IATP). The exhibition emerged out of a year of Friday gatherings in the basement of Canada gallery on the Lower East Side. Each week, from 4–6 pm, we met to read Walter Benjamin’s The Arcades Project, an unfinished work published after his death. Afterwards, we continued our conversations at Toad Hall or Whiskey Tavern near Canal Street, bars that became extensions of the reading room, where ideas lingered long after the text closed. The book brought us together, each of us developing an intimate relationship with the text while reading alongside one another. At some point, Benjamin simply became Walter. The exhibition emerges not only from our engagement with his fascinating text, but from the way our worlds collided: friendships, debates, and an osmosis of ideas that unfolded over many Fridays together. The exhibition is an invitation to think together, to expand the community, and to continue the conversations that began around a basement table and stretched late into the evening. About IATP @iatp_nyc Based in New York City, the Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program (IATP) is a year-long critical studies program for artists, curators, and cultural practitioners. Through readings, seminars, and collective discussion, it examines the structures, histories, and politics that shape contemporary art and culture. In this gesture, the object is released from economic function and enters narrative life. My second album called Happy 9 is out today. I just found a bunch of photos that make me happy to put on here bc that’s what music is all about.
