This was the first piece that I had that started my love journey of jewelry. I will forever remember this story. I knew a person that would frequent the apparel market in Atlanta. I knew I wanted a coin pendant and a nice chain. The pendant had to be large because I realized even then that gram weight was important. I worked the entire summer saving my money. This would be my graduation gift to myself. You see at the time kids were getting cars and all kinds of stuff for graduation. I remember asking my mom what am I gonna get and she quickly replied, “Your college tuition paid for!” In my mind I knew if I wanted that pendant it would have to be me working to earn it. So you see this was my first pendant that I purchased with my own hard working money that summer of 1988. Just wanted to share because my love has existed and continues even to this day. If you don’t mind responding what was the first piece that jump started your love for all things solid gold?

My newest addition! Ken doesn’t know it yet, but this is his Valentine’s gift to me. ❤️😆

Last November when I visited @watchlink in Scottsdale and my pal, @pinkcornbread joined me, I tried on several pieces that I loved. One of them is this epic 18k gold pinky ring that is now a fan favorite and I wear her on the daily.

The other one is this epic 18k gold SOLID bracelet. The Florentine or satin finish is chef’s kiss, along with the hidden clasp. It’s from the Italian designer, Chiampesan. She’s sooo good. I’m so glad to have her in my collection.

I can’t say enough awesome things about this store. My ride or die is my local jeweler, but if you’re in Scottsdale, I cannot recommend this store enough. Their bench jewelers are top notch like my local jeweler’s are. And the staff is fun and very knowledgeable! I will be making another visit with friends this November and can’t wait to see all the goodies. Their vintage jewelry inventory is robust and so very good!

And of course, how could I not use music from the one and only Bad Bunny for today’s post.
❤️❤️❤️

This insanely cool ring arrived today and she deserves a place on the grid.

She is 18k gold with 2.08cctw. She is epic AF. I had to think long and hard if I wanted her as a pinky ring and I’m super happy with my decision. Given her presence, she’s almost expected to be worn on the pointer or middle finger. I wanted her to be extra cool, hence my decision to have her sized for my pinky. The craftsmanship of sizing her down from a 6 to a 3 is beyond. The jeweler did an amazing job!

My entire experience at the store in Scottsdale (I’ve tagged them) was incredible! I’m a forever customer. Their customer service combined with their enormous inventory makes them a destination worth visiting.

Thank you to Camille, @pinkcornbread, for helping me make my decision about the ring! And for Yana, my bestie, that always says I should just get the thing I love. 🤣

PS, we have zero sun out today but she still sparkles. ❤️
