#REPOST @pinkmcr_ WHAT'S ON: November We're kicking things off on 6th with DUNIYA . 1, bringing together @lasgidimademe, @kd22lr and @hpunq for a night of bass-heavy experimentation, live coding, leftfield club music and atmospheric performance. On 9th, Mississippi Records founder Eric Isaacson joins us from Portland, Oregon, for A People's History of Music, a lecture and archival film presentation sharing stories of music scenes that have struggled, survived and persisted through periods of authoritarianism. From 12th, we're pleased to welcome Our Adoption Project for A Soft Inheritance, an adoptee-led, multidisciplinary exhibition exploring adoption. Opening on 12th and continuing until 23rd, the exhibition is accompanied by a programme of talks, workshops and events. Head to Our Adoption Project for further details. We're also excited to kick off MAKESHIFT, our new artist-led programme exploring the practical, technical and critical questions surrounding 3D making. On 25th, Abbie Fowler leads A Sustain/able Practice, a workshop-talk exploring the relationship between art and ecology through the sourcing and making of wild clay. On 26th, Tom Pope, Alys Scott-Hawkins and Melanie Wheeler introduce the Green Manifesto for Artists, developed with Artists Now, through a talk and workshop exploring practical approaches to more sustainable artistic practice. Finally, on 28th, RC Studio joins us for Printing with a Pasta Machine, a hands-on workshop using recycled Tetra Pak and a pasta machine as a printing press to create original prints. 6th DUNIYA . 1 @lasgidimademe @kd22lr @hpunq 9th A People's History of Music @mississippirecords @qujunktions 12th A Soft Inheritance (Exhibition Opening) @ouradoptionproject 13th-23rd A Soft Inheritance (Exhibition Continues + Events) @ouradoptionproject 25th MAKESHIFT: A Sustain/able Practice with @abbiefowler 26th MAKESHIFT: Green Manifesto for Artists with @tom__pope, @alysscotthawkins and @melanie__wheeler - @artistsnowuk 26th Printing with a Pasta Machine @ruggkta Visit the individual event pages or organisers' profiles for full details and booking information. ๐Ÿ“ PINK, Hilton House, Stockport, SK1 3NA w @downloa

Up For (Auction) Adoption Poem printed on rice paper with hand cut paper cutting, perspex. 29.7 x 21 cm poem, 52 x 31 cm framed This work is the very first creative collaboration between my sister, Poppy, and I. Made in response to @ouradoptionproject 's exhibition's theme, A Soft Inheritance, Poppy wanted to write something which describes what she was left with post adoption. The paper cutting technique was my visual response to her poem; using material references to tangyuan and the tiny grains of rice coming apart and shifting into a new space. Despite not being biologically related, Poppy and I grew up in Colchester, Essex, together with our parents and processed adoption in different ways and over different timespans. Having the opportunity to collaborate with her and exhibit amongst other artists who have connections to adoption is incredibly special. The poem will be up at @pinkmcr_ for Our Adoption Project: A Soft Inheritance 12th - 22nd November 2026. 9 & 10 taken in 2001 in Poppy's hometown, Wanzai, when she first joined the family. #visualart #exhibition #adoption #artist #greatermanchester

SUPPORT OUR ADOPTION PROJECT We're grateful to have received @aceagrams @tnlcommunityfund funding this year so that we can bring our vision to life and offer a programme of free workshops and pay everyone working on the exhibition fairly. Arts Council funding covers our core production, but your support allows us to offer more free community workshops and to print a exhibition catalog which matches the quality and consideration of the artworks and exhibiting artists. Swipe to find out more on how your support can help Our Adoption Project and head to the link in our bio titled โ€œSupport Our Workโ€ Thank you to everyone who has already donated and shared this project. So far, Our Adoption Project has been really special for the team and we hope to make it even more special for them and our exhibiting artists moving forwards. Thank you! Friday, 6th November, 7-11pm ๐”‡๐”ฒ๐”ซ๐”ฆ๐”ถ๐”ž is an event series and art project launched in Manchester in 2026. This show is part live event, part immersive art installation, featuring tadhorโ€™s debut headline show and bundyโ€™s Manchester debut. Nigerian-born experimental artist and producer ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฅ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ navigates through bass-heavy rap, layered atmospheric soundscapes and textured dark ambient, blending emotive introspection with cultural observation. Based in Salford, his lyricism emotively explores the contrast between his experiences in the UK and those in his city of origin, Lagos, ruminating on themes of identity, displacement, memory and belonging. For this performance, tadhor premieres a new live set, devised alongside Manchester experimental noise artist Adrian Steele and featuring live accompaniment. ใ€ @lasgidimademe ใ€‘ South Manchester DJ โ€‹โ€‹๐˜’๐˜‹22๐˜“๐˜™ has carved out a reputation for constructing percussive, bass-heavy sets that guide dancers into the early hours - but her distinctive sound stretches far beyond the parameters of a typical club set. Downtempo, halftime, and leftfield selections are woven into her repertoire, and across her sets there persists a deft instinct for joining the dots beyond genres. ใ€ @kd22lr ใ€‘ A Manchester debut for ๐˜ฃ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜บ, an audiovisual live-coder, musician and producer from Birmingham. His primary practice is as a songwriter and performer, collapsing genre predispositions across folk, grime, pop and beyond, with strudel - open-source live-coding software - as his algorithmic accompaniment. bundyโ€™s music morphs from club-inflected hip-hop to introspective, guitar-led ballads and eccentric noise โ€“ sometimes all within a single set. His work is underpinned by a grounded, direct lyricism that threads together his shifting forms.ใ€ @hpunq ใ€‘ (Tickets via RA) edit @idlejonah @lasgidimademe \ @kd22lr \ @hpunq \ @pinkmcr_

Forlengelser by @ranneigrenne with @butcher.correia.studio at @pinkmcr_ An internal dance communicated externally. Body moving intentionally round seated and standing bodies drinking tea on blue floor and wooden benches. Camera flashes light and feet scrape through dance, microphones hung from ceiling moving with gestures of arms, hands touch objects momentarily. Stripes of blue down body, between fingers held in the curve and on hair plaited and separated in strands across forehead. Rubber on stone. Skin on fabric. Materials draped around the room and hanging from poles on walls. I arrived just after four, and before then, two hours of body moving between other bodies. Seemingly distant sounds hover through speakers, intersecting domestic and recorded, layering an entangled sonic environment. I am uncertain of where located sound begins and speakers end in this space. As a gesture I relinquish awareness of my own body to gaze at another. This durational slowness, silence of strangers beyond breathing, attentive to performance. I read notes of an antidote, somehow, to the constant pace of current society. The need to produce. There is both softness and sharpness in this space. A shared desire to be present, attentive to time. A thought comes to mind that we have all put down our tools of production, laid industrial habits to rest a while, to watch and to listen. To be bodies together in a space. #notepadnotes astounding performance ๐Ÿฉต feels good to be home ๐Ÿฉต

Last year, we made some space. Look what happened. ๐Ÿงก A room full of artwork. A room full of people. New conversations, new connections, new opportunities. Artists seeing their work celebrated, sometimes for the very first time since graduating. This was MADE IT 2025. And this Saturday, weโ€™re doing it all over again. 20 artists from across the North West. New work, new faces, new ideas. Months of work behind the scenes, all leading up to one afternoon when we finally get to open the doors and share it with you. We started MADE IT because we believe graduating artists deserve more than a degree show and a pat on the back. They deserve to be seen, supported and taken seriously. This yearโ€™s exhibition might be our biggest statement yet. MADE IT 2026 ๐Ÿ“ The Whitaker, Rawtenstall ๐Ÿ“… Saturday 17 October, 2โ€“4pm If youโ€™ve ever wanted to discover the next generation of artists before everybody else does, this is your invitation. Come and be part of it. Bring someone with you. Tell someone who needs to know. Letโ€™s fill this room again. Huge thanks to @lewischetcuti for capturing the sweet little film for us ๐Ÿ“ธ @whitakermuseum @firststreetmcr @artistsnowuk @uos_artcollection @zealous_co #MADEIT2026 #NorthWestArt #EmergingArtists #Classof2026

We had such a fun time exploring CURLS & SWIRLS at @pinkmcr_ in Stockport. We always love to see the Little Artists at work. There was swishing and swirling, mixing spaghetti, making nests and curly hair... which needed a haircut! Our next Pink workshop is on the 4th of December. Find tickets to this workshop, and all the others at the link in our bio. Come and join the fun! Thanks to Meg for helping me out, whilst Hannah is busy with her gorgeous new baby!
