@pinkumbrellatheaterco found a more permanent home on Historic Mitchell Street.

📍1104 W Historic Mitchell St, Milwaukee

Their mission is to make accessibility standard in theater and to provide a welcoming environment for actors with disabilities and their families.

Ongoing projects at the new location include installing an interior platform lift and adding more accessibility features.

They also hope Pink Umbrella will open doors for other organizations and theater companies that faced similar struggles, creating a go-to place community members can turn to.

Feeling very grateful. Tonight I held my first community sound bath at @pinkumbrellatheaterco. We vocalized, visualized, relaxed into ocean and gong sounds, and shared reflections over tea.

Heartfelt thanks to Pink Umbrella Theater Co. for opening their doors for this gathering, and to everyone who showed up. Your presence meant so much 🙏 Grateful to have shared this experience with you all 🕉️

NEW DATE ✨🎶 Due to a scheduling change at the venue, this sound bath is now on Friday 8/14 6-7pm.

Join us for a restorative evening of sound and community at the PATH (Pink’s Accessible Theater House).

We’ll begin with gentle movement and breathwork before settling into a sound bath with singing bowls, guitar, chimes, and other instruments that encourage relaxation. Slow down and simply be while bathing in the harmonic frequencies.

This event is welcoming to people of all abilities and experience levels. You’re invited to participate in whatever way feels most supportive to you.

After the sound bath, there will be be time for quiet integration, followed by a community circle for anyone who would like to stay and connect.

Katie Cummings built Milwaukee’s first professional theater company for disabled artists, and what she said about how they see the world stopped us in our tracks.

This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week. And the artists Katie works with at Pink Umbrella? They’re reframing what connection looks like.

What has a neurodivergent artist, thinker, or creator taught you? Drop it below. 👇

The sixth annual Unity Awards Event gathered community leaders, supporters and changemakers for an evening centered on connection.

All six honorees took the stage to share powerful, personal stories about their work across Milwaukee – and also shared a few hints about what’s ahead. Moderated by Deanna Singh, the conversation highlighted the importance of leadership grounded in collaboration and community building.

We’re proud to recognize leaders who foster connection and strengthen our community, and we were grateful to gather with so many supporters in the room.
