Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Hair Family! 🍀 Sorry for the post delay but let’s get into this Birthday hair of mine 😍😍😍

As some of you may know, my birthday was on March 6th 🥳 And although I just completed the protective style challenge, I really wanted to get my hair braided since it’s been awhile 🤩 I got my hair done by my AMAZING #braider @pinkyunderground 🔥🔥🔥 If you’re in the DMV area, definitely check out her work then do yourself a favor and make an appointment 😉🔥

I have OMBRÉ BUTT LENGTH BOX BRAIDS‼️ (How many of you thought they were KNOTLESS BRAIDS❔👀) I wanted them to have the small feel of knotless but be box braids so they’d last longer and so far so good 🤗 I’ve had them in for about two weeks and I’m in LOVE 😍😍😍 I don’t plan on taking these out anytime soon 🥰 I’m going to try to shoot for 2 months but we shall see. My scalp was absolutely PULSATING when I first got my hair done 🥴 I don’t get my hair braided often so my scalp isn’t used to that kind of tension 😅 But I sprayed it with leave in and anti itch spray maybe twice a day for 3 or 4 days then it loosened up after that. Totally enjoying the get up and go lifestyle that comes with braids though, again, not giving that up anytime soon 😂🤩💕 ▶️ SWIPE to see my hair stretched BEFORE my hair appointment 🥰🙌🏾◀️

What new style have you tried lately? 👀

I wanted to try something different this go around with my hair. I wanted a style that was going to last because quite frankly I was over my actual hair at this point 🤣 but I also wanted to try something new so I got soft locs for the first time and I tried a different color than what I’d normally get. I absolutely LOVE my hair now 😍😍😍, but I’m not gonna lie, it took some adjusting 🥴🥴 I can be very boring when it comes to my hair at times, so this color was much brighter than I expected it to be, and I’m not used to having big parts in my hair so I was concerned about how long this style would last. But, after having it in for awhile and staring at it in the mirror 109283929 times, it grew on me 😂😂😂 SWIPE to see the before pictures 🥴😣 & what’s currently underneath the locs...

I told y’all I was trying to do things differently this year 😂 anyone who really knows me knows I can be a plain Jane at times, so I was excited to switch up the style, color, & add a little flare to the ends 😉🔥 These are #knotlessbraids and if you can’t tell by this photo shoot, I’m absolutely in love with them 😍😍😍 This was my first time trying this style and they are painless, weightless, and extremely versatile!! (SWIPE to see video demonstrating versatility— excuse my face in it 😅) In the video, I was attempting to show how light they are, in addition to how many ways I can switch the part if I choose to because of how my hair is parted (parts close up shown in the very last photo) Overall I’m pretty satisfied with this style and would def get it again, but the weight is going to take some getting used to because it’s so crazy 😂 literally feels like there’s nothing on my head! 😱😭
