Yardwork Presents and @kuaaradio is excited to share an evening under the Sycamores. Join us for a live ambient sunset at the park Saturday, June 20th Warm Springs Park ( 840 n 300 w ) 8pm (( donations welcome )) Join us under the Sycamore trees at Warm Springs Park this Saturday night for live ambient music as the sunsets w/ sets from Salt Lake staple @pinyonpine_ and @weareforestsss (members of @frailtalk ) Bring your blankets, some picnic, that book you’ve been meaning to start, the sewing project you’re in the middle of, bring some paints, your dog, invite that cutie from the cafe, bring your parents, bring your Mom’s best friend, invite your homies you haven’t seen in a while, bring your board game crew, bring your three separate groups of friends to finally meet each other and see how it goes, and sit in the park and do nothing/everything with us. @weareforestsss is a project of @frailtalk ‘s Cor. Hailing from Fort Collins, CO Cor creates lush meandering sonic worlds using modular, synths and acoustic instrumentation. Stepping aside from his role as a blooming indie-folk artist with @frailtalk . Here, as @weareforestsss , Cor gets to expand and contrast and moves slowly as if through their choice of instruments, is getting to explore the sonic waterways and canyons that sound can create. @pinyonpine_ Salt Lake staple of the exploratory and modular crafts, pinyonpine’s mastery is taking something like modular rig and synths and creating something so deeply organic and natural. With his newest release out via @aural_canyon . Pinyonpine’s music is something that simultaneously taproots and opens to the sky. We are stoked for ya’ll to join us this weekend. See you at the park. Dress accordingly

Tj’s deeply human approach to modular synthesis has made his new record something deeply special. Crafting a sonic world that feels both nostalgic, of the present and looking towards what could be a hope filled future. His new album ‘Bedrock & Paradox’ out on the @aural_canyon label, is something to be immersed in. pinyonpine // bedrock & paradox hey NOW. new year, new YOU. with all the weird stuff going on in the world, it's nice to find solace & peace with some of your music making COSMIGOS. i've been in love with @pinyonpine_'s zones since @chaz.prymek introduced us a while back. dig in & let this beauty consume you. feels good. real good. // bedrock and paradox is about channeling environment to find within. // All sounds were made on Make Noise modular synth, Loudest Warning panel, and various Ciat-Lonbarde instruments. // Produced & Mixed by pinyonpine // "I’ve been privileged to see Tj grow into music, and when I say “into music” I mean just that, he has grown into music. From the time we released “It’s Okay Now, You Can Open Your Eyes” a few years ago to this ‘Bedrock & Paradox’ Tj has journeyed deep into not only his equipment, or gear, but into his soul and his craft. This record is a profound statement of blooming golden and purple light. The music here creates a space for someone, a room maybe, for us listeners to not only to explore and listen to beautiful sound, but to explore and listen to ourselves. A place to hang up whatever masks we put on to get through our day to day, and feel the joys and griefs of our lived experiences. It’s a special kind of music that can hold someone through this. It’s an invitation to pause, and take in all the parts of ourselves. It’s heavy, booming, light and wistful, liminal and solid all at once. pinyonpine’s ‘bedrock & paradox’ is not just a phenomenal electronic record, it’s more a deeply crafted synthesized extension of a human spirit. Artist Tj Nelson has a way of crafting works that ebb and flow so organically it is almost misnomer to place in it an “electronic” genre." ~ Chaz Prymek #pinyonpine #bedrockandparadox #ambient #cassette #auralcanyon
