For our first Member Monday of the semester, we’re recognizing Piper Murray!

Piper is a sophomore majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in digital media trends and analytics and sports studies.

Outside of AWSM, Piper works for The News Lab, is part of the live video production team with Penn State Athletics and is a member of Penn State Sports Night. This past summer, she worked as a sports intern with KSTP 5 Eyewitness News, where she had the opportunity to cover all of Minnesota’s major pro sports teams.

Piper’s dream career is to work as a sports feature producer for a production company like NFL Films, creating human-interest stories that showcase athletes as people beyond the game.
