My book, AMERICAN TEENAGER, hit shelves exactly two years ago. Getting it picked up at all was very difficult because we were told REPEATEDLY that there was no market for a book about trans kids and that it wouldn’t sell.

Wrong. Here’s what has happened since October 2024:

• My book sold 20,000+ copies to date and debuted on the bestseller list.
• We’re in at least our sixth (or seventh?) printing and have run of stock several times trying to keep up with demand.
• We’re about to release a Japanese translation.
• I’ve toured the country for 24 months, nearly consecutively (all self-organized).
• That tour is likely the most extensive book tour in history, covering 420+ stops in all 50 states (including D.C. and four of the Hawaiian islands).
• My schedule is booked through the end of the year, and I’ve already started planning for 2027.
• It’s highly likely I’ll keep touring for as long as this guy is president. Trying!

Never, ever believe them when they tell us our stories don’t matter.
