650 lbs at Pirates of the Platform. 🏴‍☠️

About 5 weeks before this meet, I was working into a more cardio-focused training block and completed a half marathon, I’ve been having a lot of fun combining powerlifting with endurance and athletic performance training.

Too often, people think they have to choose between being strong, fast, or conditioned. I disagree. Why not pursue all three?

A couple weeks ago I competed at Pirates of the Platform, my tenth meet since starting powerlifting at 23.

Over the years I’ve:

💥 Competed in three different weight classes

💧 Done the hard water cuts and the heavy rebuilds
🔧 Tried different techniques, different coaches, different approaches

📈 Had meets where everything clicked… and meets where nothing did

💪 And I’ve done it all as an adaptive lifter, working around a significant arm injury and finding ways to keep progressing

Every phase, every mistake, every win, and every adaptation has made me a better lifter and a better coach.

Strength training has always been my passion and my obsession. I’m still learning, still refining, still practicing, and I bring all of that experience directly to the people I coach.

If you want to get stronger with a coach who’s been in the trenches 👇

DM me to start your strength journey.

Meet recap from this past weekend

Another 8/9 day this time around. Decided to try and go big on deadlifts with 322.5kg/711lbs but came up short.

Squat: 240kg/529lbs (all time PR)

Bench: 142.5/314lbs (meet PR)

Deadlift: 300kg/661lbs

Coach: @dawsonwindham

Big thanks to @iryna.___.vas and @juan.caguao for all the support and coming out to coach/handle me throughout the meet🫡 probably would have been a wreck without it

Second competition in the bag 🏴‍☠️ I hit PRs for each lift - 308lb squat; 220lb bench; 358lb deadlift!
No failed lifts, but 7 out of 9 successful competition lifts!
So proud of myself and I’m so grateful for my lovely trainer @oleslickfit ❤️
