We have an incredible event planned for this Saturday from 4-6pm, featuring some of our illustrious cover artists, but we couldn’t make it happen without our sponsors. Make sure to support these institutions because they stand behind local independent journalism! Show them some love!

If you love local art, come by and see us this Saturday at NKollectiv @nkollectiv from 4-6pm. Meet the local artists behind our incredible covers, hear a live performance by Jordan Lovinger @jordanlovinger, and get a chance to win a $150 gift card to Uchi (incredible sushi restaurant), thanks to our friends at @southbroadwaypress. We’ll be sending a giveaway email on Friday morning to all our subscribers. The third person who responds will win! We’ll announce the winner AT the event. You have to be there to get it. Prize will go to next person who responded if not.

We’ll be selling prints at the gallery too. We’ve already raised about $400 for @afaphoenix through this event! Come decorate your walls and support the local community! We’ll also have free drinks available!

Our friends at @pit_fiend_bbq are giving away a chance for some slow smoked, melt in your mouth, proper barbecue at A Cleaner Clear this year. If you haven’t ever visited this barbecue joint in River North, you are missing out big time. I have spent most of my adult life, enjoying Texas barbecue and these guys nail it while making it all their own. #barbeque #smokingmeat #greatfood #acleanerclear

Baked and Fried’s most popular item so far, The Beef Pastelillos. A beautiful handmade turnover, filled with perfectly seasoned beef, potatoes, and red peppers, and then fried to perfection. This delicious little pocket is bursting with flavor and so is the aji picante sauce that’s served on the side. Don’t worry. We won’t tell your doctor you didn’t have an egg white omelet for dinner. It’s our secret.

Get one! Only on Wednesdays at @finnsmanor
