We’re still buzzing from High Voltage at Spring in the Park.

Thank you to everyone who came down and made it our biggest event yet, with over 2,500 of you in attendance. And a huge thank you to the 100+ participants who made up the show. It was as much fun as it looks.

Keep an eye out for more photos and videos, coming soon⚡️

Spring in The Park| Live Music | Pitchface Choir | Sept 5 | 5 - 9 PM

Pitchface is a community choir made up (almost entirely) of women and non-binary peeps from Melbourne’s inner west. What started as an idea among four friends over a boozy dinner in Footscray has grown to a joyous ‘no experience necessary’ singing squad of around 120. Expect songs you wouldn’t expect from a choir. This group has a particular love of late-80s ballads and the dance hits of the 90s (but tbh, nothing’s off limits).

Had our in house rig at the @palaistheatre fired up for the Pitchface Choir @pitchfaceinc performing their Big Winter Sing with special guest @katemillerheidke. I think the choir and the audience combined broke the official world record for double denim! #eventlighting #bandlighting #lightinghire #palaistheatre #pitchfacechoir

Speaking in public? No problem.

**Singing** in public? Slightly elevated levels of alarm.

I hadn't been part of an on-stage musical performance since high school, when I was played 2nd flute to the second flute in the school orchestra.

On Saturday, thanks to the beautiful, inclusive, fun-loving, kick ass souls of @pitchfaceinc, I was on stage singing my heart out at the @palaistheatre and helping set a new double denim world record. Not bad for a first gig. Where next?

It was a complete joy. And we looked and sounded amazing. I'm happy.

Pitchface at the Palais was like a wonderful, denim clad dream!

We sang 15 fantastic songs acapella (of which 11 were arrangements written by me or collabs with some of my excellent pitch friends).

We danced the night away.

We broke a world record.

We got a standing ovation from our biggest ever exclusively-Pitchface audience.

We were featured on TV's Postcards, in The Age newspaper, Beat magazine, and on the news onChannels 7 & 9 and the ABC!

Oh, and I got to arrange & conduct the incredible talent that is famous Australian singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke in her latest hit "Holiday".

Pretty decent for a Saturday night in Melbourne. 💋

Pic credits to @kate_arnott as well as various Pitches and their family & friends
