The ole number 1 the terminator ⛽️
4-Seam Fastball ⚾️

Let me know your preferred chedda bob grip humBABE 🤝

Ideally you’d like your middle finger (strongest n longest with most force potential to influence RPMs) to be the most active finger in putting force thru the center of the baseball

A good way to determine this without a slow motion camera is to look at which of the 2 fingers have a callus forming (which usually is an indicator of high spin vs low spin fastballs)

I try to space my fingers a bit to create a more even distribution of force thru the baseball because my index finger is usually the dominating finger at ball release

Two different 16U fastballs. 1 Lefty, 1 Righty. One pitch has good shape, but velocity is holding it back. The other has good velocity, but the shape needs work. One thing they have in common? Neither pitcher was aware of these gaps until they joined Strike-One. Now they can work on adjustments to maximize their skills.

Don’t know what any of this means? Don’t worry, we do. Come see where your areas to improve are.

Want your changeup to run like crazy?

Try this!

Start by getting your index finger and pinky on the sides of the ball, with middle and ringer finger behind the ball.

Then when throwing the changeup, think “fastball off the ring finger.”

Keep the arm speed up and your wrist relaxed, letting the ball roll off your middle and ring fingers as you throw. This will cause you to swipe the inside part of the ball allowing you to get that UFO style side spin.
