Last weekend, some of our members took a trip to see Verdi’s Rigoletto at the @pittsburghopera!! They had a fantastic time attending the pre-show talk, watching the show, and taking part in the post-show toast to celebrate opening night! They were even able to meet some cast members during the toast, including the incredible @susanne_sopran!! Thank you to the cast for sharing your time and talent with us!

🎭 The arts are more than entertainment — they’re an important part of Pennsylvania’s economy.

The committee visited Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Pittsburgh Opera to explore how arts and cultural institutions support tourism, create jobs and strengthen local businesses.

Rep. Lindsay Powell hosted a roundtable discussion highlighting the industry’s impact and the importance of supporting the arts as we work to build a stronger Pennsylvania economy.

Daniel O’Hearn continues a stellar run of performances at Pittsburgh Opera this weekend, as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto — back on a stage where he once trained as a Resident Artist. 🎭

What’s fast becoming a signature role comes full circle, continuing a journey that has taken him from covering the Duke at Lyric Opera of Chicago to a memorable last-minute jump-in with the Baltimore Symphony.

Toi toi toi, Daniel!

Pittsburgh, the weekend is finally here!

🧪 Friday: Get delightfully strange at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s Haunted Museum—think curious specimens, cryptids, and potion brewing.
💋 Saturday: Put your frightfully charming side to work at the Pittsburgh Halloween Singles Mixer.
🎭 Sunday: Trade the spooky for the spectacular with a matinee opera at the Benedum Center.

What are your plans for the weekend? Drop us your top picks for the weekend and visit the link in bio to learn more about ours.
