As 2025 comes to a close, many moments stick out to me. By far one of my fondest memories was the time we got to do a walk around of an F-16 belonging to the AF Thunderbirds.

Showing the jet to Tom and Leland and remembering the many times I had launched out a jet or inspected it, ducked under the exhaust to get to other side, and introducing new airman to the workhorse that is the F-16 made the moments shared even more special.

2026 brings its own challenges and milestones but don’t be so eager that we forget to remember the moments that shaped us this year, the moments the stretched us, and the moments that made us feel alive

What have been some stand out moments for you this past year?

As we prepare for the ICAS convention next week, we have a few changes to announce for the 2026 season.

Our wingman and founding member of the team, Tom Braymer, is headed to the big leagues of the mainline airline world, and while this isn’t a permanent goodbye, he will be stepping back from full time wingman into the reserve pilot and coach role, alongside our long time coach and pilot, Eric Tucker.

We couldn’t be happier for Tom and fully support his journey into the big jets! He set the standard high for what it means to fly on this team and we are forever grateful for his contributions!

With that said we are excited to announce our long time reserve pilot, Stephen Covington, will be stepping up into the full time wingman slot! Having already flown multiple shows with the team, he knows what it takes to showcase the Eagles and is fully prepared to take the baton and run! Starting his career in an Eagle, Stephen has been a proud #biplanegang member with a long history of formation aerobatics and is known for his surface level, high energy performances.

We have an incredible 2026 season developing and couldn’t be more excited for the future! Come see all three of us at ICAS, and who knows, perhaps there’s some other things for us to “Tri” in the future 🦅🦅🦅 😉
