The impact of the late Dr. Craig Fuchs on the musical world will last for generations.

This afternoon’s Wind Ensemble concert featured a special piece commissioned in his honor by former students and colleagues who now represent 15 schools.

The final measures of the piece, “O Memory, hope, love,” by Andrea Reinkemeyer, were played by senior Daniel Roy.

The instrument he used: Dr. Fuchs’ trumpet.
