Curtain bang vs fringe vs face framing ✨

Now, this is personally how I like to follow these three so I can understand best when cutting fringe framing and bangs!

“Bangs” to me, means cut around the eye level and above really. These could be micro, blunt or curtain bangs.

“Fringe” to me, means cut around the cheekbone to the lip area, keeping it longer, but still above the jawline specifically

“Frame” to me, cut below the jawline anything that is below is going to accentuate framing, but not give a bang or fringe result.

This is just how I separate these three different styles so I’m evaluating a visual picture with my guest. We can decide exactly where we want our shortest piece to be and how we want it to enhance our face and bone structure. ✨

I love to alternate through sizes of round brushes to create different bounces and volume effects throughout my blowout style. I used my ER cl 65, 53 and 43, smallest on top getting larger towards the bottom!

Let’s talk about it…

Once you dry the hair, you gotta cross check and make sure everything you cut is up to par!!! ✨ The purpose of concave layers is to create a short, long line, shortness of the crown and getting longer towards the outside!

So, that’s exactly what I should see in my cross check, a fluid clean short to long line, nice and connected going all the way down to my perimeter! No holes, no gapes, no “shelf”
