Do you know the inspiration for this design? I create my patterns in an app for pixel art/animation and got the idea to bring this sneak peek “to life” 🤣

Part 2 of 2. Really loving how this one turned out. Forgot to include in the voiceover but I brought it into photoshop to add the light glow right at the end.

What should I make next? Got some big ideas in the pipeline 😉

This one's for the fellow chronically ill badasses, who keep on keeping on.

Even during flare-ups.
Even during low or no spoon days.
Even when you're out of fucks, but need to get shit done.

I see you. You're doing amazing.
Now hydrate & go take that nap. 🫡🖤

#chronicillness #spoonie Pixel illustration, based on a beaded embroidery hoop. It features flower beads and iridescent beads, as well as a small knife. The letter beads read "no more spoons".

Oh man, I got REALLY into #PixelArt a couple weeks ago and ended up making these lil emoji to use as @signal_app stickers (which a couple people requested, so now the sticker pack is up there in my, uh, bayou).

Made these with @pixakiapp on my iPad, and you can see the genesis of this project on the first episode of my new "DAY//GLOW" livestream show with @ishjr (#DayGlowShow in future)!

I made a Signal sticker pack a few years ago with my owl companion bot Archimedes, so it's about time I got some new digital style. It's super easy: just open the desktop app, open the interface, drop in your 512x512px images, assign each an emoji (you can do repeats), and publish :D
Planning to share some tutorials about the process soon – as well as how to add custom stickers for use everywhere on iOS!

Anyway, I dropped these into my #Teardown2025 talk on a whim, and naturally, that's what many people latched onto... so I guess we may be seeing more of these! Four pixel-art emoji of Alex: star eyes (plus a little drool), X-eyes sadface, nonplussed "eh?" face with question marks, and heart-eyes with a big grin!
