What do I love the most about the mountains?🏔️

Of course, the landscapes. The wild beauty. The rivers, the skies, the silence.

But more than anything…
The real magic has always been the people ❤️

I went to the mountains this time carrying far more than just a backpack. I went with an injured leg, a grieving heart, and a heaviness I couldn’t seem to put down.

Grief hit me like waves, sometimes, all it took was a single memory of my dad. I’d be laughing one moment, and suddenly I’d find myself in tears. I broke down more times than I can count.

And every single time, someone was there.
Not with questions.
Not with advice.
Just with love, quietly holding me.

The mountains gifted me people disguised as angels.
They carried me from one mountain to another, quite literally, as gently as if I were a drop of water resting in their palms. They fed me when I didn’t want to eat. Sat beside me in silence when words weren’t needed. Offered me their shoulders without ever asking why I was crying.

They took turns massaging my swollen leg after long days. They dressed me up on days I couldn’t find the strength. They brewed kashayam and herbal teas, constantly fixing my various sicknesses, baked me cakes just because I asked, filled my water bottle whenever they noticed it was empty, made me hot water countless times, and checked on me with the gentlest, “Are you okay?” 🥺

To anyone else, these may seem like small acts.
But love has always lived in the smallest things.

No amount of money can buy this kind of care. This wasn’t hospitality. This was family. This was being held when I didn’t know how to hold myself.

To every angel I was fortunate enough to meet—you have left fingerprints on my soul. Thank you for carrying me, loving me through one of the hardest chapters of my life. You’ll probably never know how much of my heart you healed without even trying. Thank youuuu and I love you all❤️

And to those I don’t have photographs with… you’re still here, safely tucked away in my heart🫠
