I had a really fun time at @pixel_press last Saturday knocking up this poster with woodblock type. David and Julietta, who run the studio, are really knowledgeable and friendly. I'd really recommend booking a workshop if you're into printmaking or new to the craft and don't know where to begin.

I really wanted to create something handmade for the Public Decency exhibition poster, and I love the process and character of letterpress printing.

Luckily, I live just down the road from @pixel_press. Thanks to David and Julia for their expertise and for making this happen.

Excited to share that I’m putting on my first solo exhibition at @kingsarmspub in Bethnal Green.

Please come along for the opening on Thursday 27th August from 6pm. The exhibition will be up from next week if you can’t make it, or want to check it out earlier.

Something that I’ve been thinking about for a while now, often the first question someone asks about my street photography is, “do you ever have bad interactions with the people you photograph?” and to me that misses the point of it.

We’re going out into public space every day to capture the good in people - whether it’s interactions between others, or the uniqueness of individuals - and if you do it right, people understand that. Sure, we’re capturing the world as it is, and there will always be outlying circumstances, but most of the time we’re searching for the good that’s already there. Public Decency is my first solo exhibition, built around this idea that street photography is an inherently positive act.

A huge thank you to @jacksuttonarms_ for the opportunity to exhibit at one of the best pubs in London.

I’m still kinda new around here so I thought I’d share a little more about me and the things I love…

Obviously, I love a meaningful wedding! Earlier this year I got to prepare 200 friends and family for their special role in welcoming the bride and groom at a beautiful marquee ceremony outside a village hall in Shropshire 🥂

Letterpress! It’s creative, meditative, challenging and rewarding and the folks @pixel_press have become some of my dearest pals, and played a big role in me getting over my fear of being bad at things 🫶

It doesn’t take much to please me. I love flowers and try to get them often. The gorgeous folks at @rootsfloraldesigns keep me in good supply 💐

I cannot overstate how much I love being an auntie. Even when that means having wooden cucumber slices pressed into my eyes at Toddler Day Spa 🧖‍♀️

I have a love-hate relationship with taking the train. But mostly I love it! What do you get up to on a long journey? My favourite thing is talking to strangers. I’ve got a friend of 15 years who I met on a train 🚂

Younger me can’t believe that I love to train 🏋🏾‍♀️ But she can believe that I’ve found someone who’s skill in helping me get strong in matched only by a wicked sense of humour and rock solid belief in me. Thanks @yourprojectme for helping me look after myself

Bristol in the summertime! The balloons, the buzz around Harbourside, all of it. Loving getting to know the city better. ☀️

I love celebrating wins with friends. Every once in a while, I’ll gather up my friends and celebrate small wins over brunch. Got your laundry done after it had been piling up? Yes girl! Started a course you’ve been dreaming of for ages? We love an educated queen! 🎉

I love live music of all sorts, especially if there’s a cause or meaning behind it. I try to catch @paraorchestra when I can

Cute insects. As long as they’re outside, please. 🐞

And of course, I love all the things that go into getting ready for a wedding that’s authentic and intentional🧡
