I'm a fan of anything "au gratin" (I mean, who doesn't love [fill in the blank here] sprinkled with cheese and breadcrumbs???) but @cheminalamer truly does something spectacular with their Crawfish au Gratin. Perhaps it's the artichokes mixed in with the crawfish tails... I do love all things artichoke. Regardless, it's delicious. Enjoy! #cheminalamer #cheminalamernola #fourseasonsnola #augratin #crawfishaugratin #cheese #crawfish #seafood #cheesy #louisianaeats #eatittosaveit #foodoftheday #thefeedfeed #swagfoodnola #foodbeast #devourpower #bestfoodnola #eaternola #onmytable #eatingfortheinsta #nolafood #nolafoodie #nolaeats #insiderfood #tryitordiet #onthetable #onmyplate #nola #neworleans #iheartnola

Often at brunch I don't just want pancakes, but I still want the pancakes, you know what I mean? Well, I'm normalizing breakfast dessert, aka, eating your savory breakfast then having your sweet breakfast dessert!!! Hence me eating an entire delicious brunch meal at @eatsofianola and following it up with ordering their Ricotta Pancakes for dessert for the table. These pancakes have a light cinnamon swirl and are topped with cream cheese glaze and berries. Pancake Perfection!!! #seatsofianola #sofianola #sofianeworleans #brunch #breakfast #pancakes #ricottapancakes #sweetbreakfast #sweetbrunch #breakfastdessert #brunchdessert #louisianaeats #eatittosaveit #nola_cuisine #fixintoeat #BeATouristNOLA #food #foodporn #louisianafood #nolafood #yum #instafood #socialenvy #PleaseForgiveMe #yummy #amazing #instagood #photooftheday #sweet

On this week's Louisiana Eats! Backyard To Table On this week's show, we explore backyards, balconies, and rooftops where folks are cultivating their own food. We begin with Big Okra. That’s the name that gardener Jack Sweeney has given to his over 15-foot #okra plant towering over his #NewOrleans backyard. We visit Jack and the Okra Stalk on site – but what made it grow so tall? Was it the seeds that spawned this @guinnessworldrecords-worthy plant? We hear from the man who gave him those seeds: Jack's dad Neil, a #BatonRouge attorney who keeps his own garden behind his office. Then, we speak with @tamarhaspelinsta, author of "To Boldly Grow". The new book chronicles Tamar and her husband's adventures as they adopt a more active approach to their diet – raising livestock, growing vegetables, and even hunting their own meat. Recounting tales of their successes and failures, Tamar fills the pages with practical tips and hard-won wisdom for those looking to cultivate their own food. Finally, we explore one of the South's favorite backyard crops – the #mirliton – a local favorite that was on the verge of extinction at the start of the 21st century but is now making a comeback thanks largely to the efforts of Dr. Lance Hill. We hear from the good doctor before exploring the pronunciation of the iconic squash with David Hubbell. New Orleans is a very Catholic city and after Mardi Gras (the whole point of Mardi Gras, actually) is Lent. One of the things to follow during Lent is the restriction of meat on Fridays, but in New Orleans it's almost too easy with all the delicious seafood options! And our sushi spots are amazing as well! Every time I go to @tsunamineworleans I have to get the Sunflower. Thin sashimi slices of seared tuna in spicy ponzu with tobiko, masago, scallions, and quail egg. It's as delicious as it is beautiful!!! And I just love anything with a quail egg!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #tsunamineworleans #tsunamisushinola #tsunaminola #tsunamisushineworleans #sushi #sashimi #searedtuna #spicy #ponzu #tobiko #masago #quailegg #eatittosaveit #louisianaeats #eater #zagat #mysouthernliving #eaternola #saveur #bonappetit #foodie #foodblogger #foodgram #dailyfoodfeed #buzzfeedfood #foodporn #foodlover #eatfamous #eatthis #foodcoma
