I am so incredibly proud of Sam and I for not only making one of the collective favorite Aqours costumes, but also winning best group!
Animethon was fantastic this year, the cosplay contest, everyone's panels, meet-ups etc. I need more cons like this! 🌊🐬

I’ll be attending Animethon this year and opening bookings for Friday and Saturday. I only have a couple of slots open as I will mostly enjoying the con with my friends, but I’d love to capture some photos of your lovely cosplays for you to take home! Looking forward to seeing you all there!

entering a comp has always been a lowkey, back of my mind, would be cool thing to do on my cosplay bucket list but i never had the courage to try because i had used a sewing machine all of like four?? times maybe??? leading up to this build. i say this when the second time i used a machine was learning zippers from my mom and i spent 6 hours just making one leg guard for my yukina :’)

when i started building amo back in nov 2025 it was because i agreed to a gachiakuta group for @weichiadi. at the time, there were no premade cosplays for amo readily available, no wigs, etc. so, i told myself i had plenty of time to learn to sew and build amo myself for august 2026.

flash forward to june 2026, i used three different sewing machines to work on amo, learned a little bit of metal work, self patterned the sleeves and dress, made multiple iterations of various parts (such as a the wig and belt!), and just made this cosplay my own (taking inspo from my wifey @_kenzumii in terms of finding places to maximize the whimsy in a build!)

this build was SUCH a major learning experience for me and truly brought back the joy i had in crafting and learning about so many various techniques and methodologies. thank you to the loveliest of judges @hanoodls, @chiyunek0, and @stoosherman for making the prejudging space (and follow up for feedback!) feel so safe and encouraging.

i want to give MAJOR thank yous to @nyxx_styxx for letting me invade his crafting space for weeks on end to use his sewing machine, for showing me the ropes for metalworking, and all around being SUCH a supportive friend. another BIG thank you to @canadiancosplay for explaining airbrushing to me for the wig, and also letting me invade their space and use their equipment. and another thank you to @hopstepcosplay for letting me use their machine and explaining different stitches to me DURING THEIR BDAY WEEKEND

and ofc all the thank yous to my competition pookies who pushed me to take on this challenge and try comp! @autumnscosplay, @circuit.cosplays, @alycas_cosplay, @canadiancosplay, @_kenzumii, @zoocosplay101, @roze_masquerade, @lotte.chaotic, @dubois.by.design 💜

2025, what an insane year you’ve been. Never did I think I would shoot so much in my life with so many countless late nights. It has been so much fun, and I have no one other to thank than all of you that have worked with and supported me, none of this would have been possible without you. There are no words to express my all of appreciation to you. But as a consolation, I made a small highlight gallery of some of my favourite works this year. I wish I could have fit more, but the tiles would have been too small otherwise, I love you just as much. Thank you and love you all for such a heart fulfilling year and cheers to another wonderful upcoming year. 🥂💕🎊
