Capiche Carrom.

Some kitchens run like an orchestra enjoying itself. At @pizza.capiche , the cooks move in unison - each dish choreographed, finding order inside apparent chaos.

Carrom shares that exact nature: pieces scattering, rebounding, and settling under controlled intention.

The playing surface is an illustrated portrait of pizza-making mid-action. Hands mid-gesture, dough stretched, ingredients landing. Drawn from hours spent observing the restaurant floors across Surat and Ahmedabad, the illustration was translated into black Kadapa stone, inlaid with semi-precious stones, brass, and a stained timber frame.

First presented at India Design ID, Mumbai 2026 as part of the Undercurrents special project.

Capiche is one of my favorite spots in Ahmedabad, so if you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!!

Their sticky toffee pudding is TOO good, but if you have a friend like mine, please order it separately unless you want to eat it like Shiro 😭
