We asked, our Alabama chefs answered: who is a farmer they love working with at their restaurants?

Our farmers are the heartbeat and heroes of our hospitality industry, and clearly our chefs feel the same way! We are grateful for their dedication and hard work. 🤍

Ciao! Join us for an incredible evening with our friends at @pizzagracebham! Co-owners @realryanohara and @gm.ohara have become good friends of ours over the years and we’re excited to team up with them again! The dinner is Wednesday October 28th and seats are filling up fast. The menu will be à la carte, and won’t actually feature any pizza but will highlight a lot of other Italian dishes 🍅 Additionally, we’ll be featuring some amazing wines imported by Vins de Lieu 🍷 Book through our resy page 👍🏼

More about the chefs:
Ryan O’Hara and Geri-Martha trained under James Beard Award winner Frank Stitt before co-founding Big Spoon Creamery, growing it from a driveway pop-up into three brick-and-mortar locations. In 2025 the couple took over Pizza Grace, a historic downtown Birmingham pizzeria, redesigning its space and menu around seasonal sourdough pizzas, small bites, and natural wine. The restaurant earned a Bib Gourmand in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide American South and Ryan and Geri-Martha were nominated for the James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef: South in 2026.

What I ate in SEPTEMBER in Birmingham, Alabama

It looks like we can’t stay away from this tasty foodie city— with all the follow up & specialty doctors appointments we have at Children’s of Alabama ❤️‍🩹

✨Trying to find the joy in *the little things* like delicious food and some good strong coffee during this season of our life right now.

✨Here are some things I ate and drank in SEPTEMBER.

1) PIZITZ FOOD HALL
@thepizitz
We love the variety of options for your crew like tacos 🌮, a burger 🍔 and a yummy mangonada 🥭. We also loved the Pokemon vending machine!

2) MUSTARD CLUB
@mustardclubbhm

3) PIZZA GRACE
@pizzagracebham
Award winning specialty pizza. I ran into a foodie friend from Huntsville while dining here this visit

4) JUNE COFFEE
@junecoffeeco loved the fall specials like this Hojicha and the Carrot Cake Latte

5) PUNCH LOVE COFFEE

6) SANTOS COFFEE
@santoscoffeeusa
This was a drive thru location I stopped at on my way out of town back to Huntsville

7) SOUTHBOUND FOOD FEST 2026
@southboundfoodfest
I won a VIP experience to this amazing food festival and had the best time and was able to try many restaurants I haven’t been able to get to yet like OvenBird 😋

8) GUTHRIES CHICKEN
@guthrieschicken
Tasty chicken tender place that was easy to grab on the way out of town

✨Probably will have an October list starting to form as we are currently in patient for a little while at Children’s of Alabama. Where should we try in OCTOBER?
