Been craving home made pizzas lately?? Here is a calorie comparison of some of the most popular brands available in local Australian supermarkets.

This shows the calories per pizza, and as you can see there is a range of different sized bases.

This is the perfect example of why reading nutrition labels actually matters 👀

At the end of the day, both pizzas could have: The same sauce, The same amount of mozzarella, And all the same toppings

But depending on the base you choose, the calorie difference can be HUGE.

In this example, the exact same pizza comes out to 1149 calories vs 630 calories — that’s a 519 calorie difference per pizza .. Yes the base size is different but that is rarely the deciding factor.

And this isn’t about saying one option is “good” and the other is “bad”.

If you want the 1149 calorie pizza, have it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But if you’re someone who is trying to lose weight, manage your calories, increase your food volume or simply make more informed choices, knowing these differences gives you the power to choose what works best for you.
