Twenty five years ago, I went to college. And met these people who would change my life. As we worked together to build Young Life in Milledgeville, I was changed forever.

I learned how to pour into student ministry.
I learned how to earn the right to be heard.
I learned how to ferociously love my friends.
I learned what it meant to love Jesus with your life and not just your words.

There is no part of my life in the last 25 years that has not been somehow impacted by my time with Young Life in Milledgeville.

We reminisced and laughed and updated and even teared up a time or two. We drove by old houses and dorms and apartments. Talked about what had changed— and what was exactly the same.

As Ben Rector says, you can’t make old friends.

Young Life for life.

Over the weekend, I had the privilege of leading a 24-hour training session for the amazing worship leaders at VCC Augusta. We gathered to pray, study, and practice the art of worship leading, and some other musicians and techs joined us for the training. During the session, we had a lot of discussions on topics such as the role of shame and the voices in our heads as we lead.

Jeff Miller, an excellent senior pastor, author, and worship leader, goes above and beyond to support these incredible volunteers.
It was an absolute pleasure to work alongside dear friends such as Phylandria Exum, Melody Ward, Patrick Steed, Julie Armstrong and many others.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to equip and train worship leaders.

What an honor to be asked to serve Vineyard Community Church in Augusta as they worship on a Sunday following the loss of a dear community member.

We grieved together and worshipped. Susan preached really good and worship leading with Melody was a joy. Little things like sound systems ringing out bring a new stream of appreciation.

This 50+ year-old school building is near 100% original with all the creaks and groans still in there. The people in the semi-round is glorious. Had some long time friends on the front row that mentioned to me how thankful they were that we were all still following God after 25 years - it was literally what I was thinking while I was singing.

Patrick and Victory Steed are rock solid and are loving this church so well. Prayers for Pastor Jeff Miller - he's a great leader and this church is so strong.

Happy 40th birthday to one of my favorite humans on the earth. At some point in college, we had a list of about a hundred reasons we would never be a couple (that are all 100% accurate...), but God made sure we would see the bajillion reasons that we should be lifelong friends. I am incredibly thankful for you, and I hope that we are still homies for the next 40 years! Love you the most!!!!
