On May 19, 1998, DMX unleashed It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot on the world. He changed the game with this masterpiece and 27 years later, it still hits just as hard.

It has been certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA and was the first of 5 consecutive #1 albums for X.

#DMX dropped his third album “AND THEN THERE WAS X” 25 years ago today 🤯

The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard album chart selling almost 700,000 copies in its first week in stores. The album became DMX’s third consecutive number 1 album. Within 7 weeks the album was certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA for sales in excess of 5 million copies in the USA alone. To date, this is DMX’s best selling album.

What’s your favorite track off this classic? 😤
