Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily… 🚣🏽🥳
So grateful to exist. to love. to be loved. to be able to try and “fail”. To be able to get up and try again. I wouldn’t be here without love and community. From the homies in the sandbox and summer camps of Long Island. To my entire tribe of a family spread across the 5 boroughs and beyond🗽. And all the friendships, teams, bands and organizations I’ve been able to be apart of since I moved to Florida.. I’m a sum of all these parts and hearts. This life can get heavy and I’m lucky to be able to have the support as well as be a support in helping to carry some of this weight. Glory to God for life and more life 🤲🏽

It’s always a bittersweet when people we care about move on - even when it’s for something amazing.💔✈️💎

Dylan and Stara are packing their bags and heading to California tomorrow to finish school, and man… they’re gonna be missed big time around here.

These two have been not only incredible coaches, but also students I’m super proud of. It’s been awesome watching their journey and being part of it.

Thank you both for everything you’ve done for the team. Wishing you nothing but good things ahead - and don’t be strangers! EVR1 will always be your home. Come visit whenever you’re back 💙🥋🌴

The blue belt is always a special moment 💙. I still remember when I received mine from my master—it was a milestone I’ll never forget 🥋.

Yesterday, we had the honor of promoting someone very special at our academy: Stara 🌟. She’s a dedicated student and one of our assistant coaches in the kids’ class 👧👦. Always positive, always bright—she brings great energy to the mats 💪✨.

It was a proud moment to tie the blue belt around her waist, surrounded by our team and fellow professors 🤝. Congratulations, Stara! 🎉 You earned it, and we’re all so proud of you 🙌. Can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings 📚🚀!

This is to shed some light on the idea that all Haitian folkloric dance requires the dancer(s) to smile or have a huge grin throughout. With the exception of some of the celebratory and courtship dances mentioned here, most of the Haitian folk dances call for more of a theatrical and serious expression. Please book artists and /or companies accordingly based on your event purpose(s) or theme. TLL Dance Ensemble aims to leverage Haitian performance art and doesn't present only Kongo or celebratory dances.
