✨ Our North American premiere! ✨

We Are Stardust is heading across the Atlantic for its first screenings outside Europe, at Planet in Focus International Environmental Film Festival in Toronto, Canada. 🌎✨ It is Canada’s longest-running environmental film festivals, founded in 1999.

A film about Jon Larsen’s hunt for stardust, the origins of the universe, the wonders hidden in the dust beneath our feet, and our place in the cosmos feels right at home at a festival exploring our relationship with the planet we call home.

For me, it will also be a first: my first time in Canada! I’m so looking forward to meeting fellow filmmakers, connecting with the documentary community, and discovering new conversations around the film.

From European gutters to a new continent - the Stardust journey continues 💫❤️

🎬 North American Premiere
📍 Paradise Theatre, Toronto
🗓 Sunday, 25 October 2026
🕒 3:00 pm
🎤 Followed by a conversation with director Elisabeth Rasmussen

ONTARIO PREMIERE

We are honoured to be the closing film at the Planet in Focus Film Festival (@planetinfocus ) at the historic Paradise Theatre (@paradiseonbloor )!

Planet in Focus is Canada’s leading environmental media arts organization and hosts the country’s largest and longest-running environmental film festival. Their mission is to enlighten, engage, and entertain audiences of all backgrounds through film.

We love their expansive definition of “environment,” which embraces natural, cultural, social, and political-economic systems, from the bodies we live in and the physical structures we build, to the languages and cultures we share, and of course, Earth and its complex multitude of life.

Our film will be preceded by the experimental short Materia by the incredibly talented @alisitelengut . We’re deeply grateful to be part of such a wonderful evening!

📅 October 25 6:30pm

La Sed del Viento had its Colombian premiere at the 11th Jardín Film Festival, an edition dedicated to the lives and struggles of social leaders, the perfect home for our film. We’re deeply grateful to have won the Audience Award 🏆 Thank you, Jardín, and thank you to our beautiful team 💛 Next stop: @viffest , Vancouver 🇨🇦, October 8 & 9.
