I’m still feeling so grateful for the incredible time I had at Vibrant Vegan Fest!

Sarina put together such a wonderful event. The food was fantastic, the speakers and activities were inspiring, and the people made the entire experience so special. Thank you for all the heart, energy, and hard work poured into bringing everyone together.

I loved meeting so many new people and making new vegan friends, and I’m equally grateful for the opportunity to spend meaningful time and connect more deeply with people I already knew. That sense of community means everything to me.

It was an honor to speak, participate in the activities, share the story of Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, and talk about Rowdy Girl: Confessions of a Vegan Cattle Rancher. Thank you to everyone who bought a copy of the book and took the time to talk with me about it.

And if you’ve already read the book, please consider leaving a review on Amazon and Goodreads. Reviews are incredibly important in helping the book reach more people, and every single one means the world to me.

Thank you, Sarina, and thank you to everyone who made Vibrant Vegan Fest such a beautiful experience. I’m already looking forward to next year! 💚

On my way back home from Vibrant Vegan Festival @vibrantveganfest ...

On the way to the airport, my Uber driver Oscar told me how he had lost 50 lbs in the last year and would love to be vegan, but he said it was too hard

And he's right...

It can be hard to be vegan in a world that normalizes cruelty and turns a blind eye to violence 🔪

It can be hard to be vegan when you're tired of your friends turning into nutritionists overnight, suddenly overwhelmed with concern over your protein intake 💀

It can be hard to be vegan when people project their insecurities on you and, unprovoked, confess all of their failures at eating healthy and justifications for meat eating 🫣

But not when you realize you're not alone 👐🏽

When you meet other people and know that you're not crazy for making a sincere effort to live better when you know better 🦸🏾‍♀️

When you meet other people that are genuinely excited when you randomly make a dessert with sweet potatoes, cinnamon, cashew creamer and @vedgenutrition vanilla ice cream protein powder 🍨

It can be hard to be vegan if you're trying to do it all on your own 😔

But the good news is you don't have to 🫶🏾

THERE IS LOVE HERE. 🖤

At every Second Nature Connection retreat, people arrive from all walks of life: strangers, friends, couples, mothers and daughters, brothers, chosen family, solo travelers searching for something deeper. And somehow, by the end of the week, everyone leaves connected.

What starts as a retreat becomes a community.
What starts as a vacation becomes healing.
What starts as “just meeting people” becomes family.

There’s something powerful about slowing down together in nature… sharing meals, movement, laughter, tears, sunsets, adventures, conversations, healing, and joy. The walls come down. The love flows naturally. And people leave feeling seen, supported, inspired, and deeply connected, not just to others, but to themselves.

This is more than a getaway.
This is togetherness.
This is soul connection.
This is HOME.
