Thank you to every woman who came to HERO-ETTES at HALO House. ❤️ This is our modern-day version of frolicking. We gather, make art, follow our intuition, and enjoy being alive together. It is also one way we protest the things we do not agree with: we create connection in a world that so often pulls us apart. When we come together, we create a portal. We become an energy source for one another. Something new begins to exist when our emotions sync: new abilities, new visions, new hope. Being seen by our divine feminine peers is its own form of healing. To every vendor, thank you for showing up with your gifts and holding space for everyone. To our loyal HALO customers and every new face we had the joy of meeting, thank you for bringing your energy into the house. We hope to see you again at an event, a gathering, or in the shop finding something special for yourself or someone you love. Our next Girls’ Party will be a HALO Galentine’s edition in February. THE SECRET TO JOY: I’ve been creatively blocked the past few weeks and I just realized why: I was feeling kinda crappy, potentially depressed even (dw am going to find a therapist to look into it). And all I’ve been talking to people about is how I want to help adults feel more joy in their life. So I was feeling a little bit like a fraud AND couldn’t think of anything joyful or fun to draw, sing, paint, etc. Thanks to the support and extraordinary coaching from @plantednowhere , I realized my creative block was coming from the fact I wasn’t willing to be HONEST about how I feel in my art! For me creativity is my journalling, my meditation, it’s how I process, feel, and express my emotions. On the call I committed to creating and sharing one piece of my creative expression a day. So as soon as we hung up I drew this. It’s just… how I’m feeling right now. It was so EASY to create from a place of honesty. And honestly I feel BETTER for having done so. Joyful people are NOT joyful because they practice being happy all the time. They’re joyful because they give themselves space and permission to FEEL EVERYTHING. Feel angry. Feel sad. Feel scared. It is by feeling those things and letting them move through me that I create the space for the joy inside me to come to the surface. I’m still not feeling great. But I am no longer feeling creatively blocked. And I KNOW the more I feel and express myself through my art, the more joy will start to return. #passionguidedgrowth #expressionistart #personaldevelopment

Together, we are creating a world with community and connection at the forefront 💛 Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us over the weekend! It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years already… As we joined in celebration with you through music, poetry, artisan products, wellness activations and heart-centered conversations, we were overwhelmed with gratitude. Gratitude that this version of reality is possible. Gratitude that you keep saying yes to building a joyful community space together. Gratitude for your belief in us and your support in ways big and small. There’s so much going on in the world, and a lot of it can feel heavy, overwhelming and draining. But here, together with you, we feel a sense of joy, of possibility and of coming homing to ourselves and each other through community care. That’s the true spirit of cacao: better together. Thank you for being here with us along for the journey, and for co-creating this heart-led reality with us. Onward and upward we go!

I used to think creating a beautiful life meant figuring out what I was “supposed” to want. The relationship. The career. The timeline. The version of success that looked good from the outside. Then I realized I’d rather build a life that actually feels like mine. So I started making different choices. I left a marriage that wasn’t right for me. I rebuilt my relationship with my parents after more than 7 years of being estranged. I left everything familiar behind and traveled the world alone. I built my body for adventure, not aesthetics. I gave myself permission to be creative, sensual, curious, and fully expressed. I started sharing the parts of my story that once felt too vulnerable to say out loud. And slowly, I stopped building a life I needed to escape from. I started building one I genuinely wanted to be in. That, to me, is the real definition of a rich life: not having a perfect life, but having the courage to consciously design one that feels deeply yours. Kinda chic, if you ask me.
