During Climate Week, we invited a few folks to join us for a special dinner with @blackbarnrestaurant made with @fondregenerative Menu items featured our duck fat, our beef and chicken demi glace, and my favorite; a white been and leek ravioli made with our Lemon & Garlic bone broth.

It was a delicious and delightful evening full of beautiful people and great conversation. It has left me dreaming about how we can continue to share FOND together in person.

I’m deeply thankful for the culinary team at Blackbarn for their thoughtful creation around our products, to @isaacseeland @plantedseedpr and @bychelseajordan for their help in bringing the day to life and last but not least to @amyrenee.miller and @sweetgirljam for getting all our mise en place. 💕

Our Atlanta Holi Dinner Party was about stories, shared plates, and the kind of comfort that doesn’t need explaining. Grateful for a table full of people who believe Indian food can be both deeply authentic and beautifully simple 🤍

Pulling this gem from the archives (2024) since I have so many first-time-expo-going friends who’ve asked for recs of what to pack or what to wear this week!

Some bonus tips 🍊
-Eat real breakfast before the show! It’s tempting to save room for samples but take it from me and my mid morning migraine from a couple years ago that you want to be properly fueled. Little bites and sips will not sustain you and also it helps give your belly a good base so the first thing touching it is not some weird snacks lol
-Wear comfy shoes! Whatever that means to you, I’ve done all sorts of combos and a sneaker or a Rothy’s flat are my hold out winners!
-Go in with some type of plan, have a list of brands (and hall and booth numbers) you want to make sure you hit! Some frame work can help it not feel so overwhelming.
-For any meetings or meet ups set a time and place before you hit the floor, the service is s**tty in there.
-Choose your walking buddies wisely! I know it sounds silly but who you spend the show with does dictate how the show goes for you. Everyone has different goals or vibes at these things just make sure you’re aligned ie: are you trying to see a bit of everything or want to really stop and talk at every booth, finding buddies that move at the same pace and are aligned is so helpful! #I’m going to miss my bestie @knack_pr this year and our hyper speed last day walk and talk!

We had a sweet time in Atlanta for our Sit With Us dinner at Chef @fvakili’s @lebonnosh! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the Atlanta Bombesquad at our community dinner series in partnership with @opentable.⁠

Chef Forough prepared a beautiful meal using a bounty of local produce: heirloom tomato salad with feta & shallot vinaigrette, crudités with avocado hummus & labneh, courgette fritti (fried zucchini “fries”), and vol-au-vent with chicken fricassée & puff pastry. Peaches are in season down south, so Chef Forough made a delicious cobbler with the stone fruit, cherries, and crème fraîche for dessert.⁠

Each course had pairings from our friends at @grappanonino, including the Paper Plane with Amaro Nonino, Aperol, bourbon & lemon, and Nonino Grappa II Moscato, which paired with the cobbler. ⁠

We loved catching up with local culinary stars including @chefdeborahvantrece and cover stars @casey_corn and Jamila Norman of @patchworkcityfarms. Everyone received a copy of our Icons Issue and a special OpenTable x Cherry Bombe tote bag. A portion of the evening’s proceeds benefited Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (@childrensatl).⁠ ⁠
