Four Charlotte craft spots for a hands-on afternoon 🎨 Pick your project, then check the pickup time before planning the rest of your day.

🧶 Safe & Sound Rugs | NoDa
The $45 Express class is a 30–45-minute session making a mini flower in 1–2 colors, with same-day take-home. Bigger/custom rugs are different classes and cost more. Book the Express option through safensoundrugs.com; each attendee needs a ticket.
📍 3205 N Davidson St, Unit 103

🕯️ Paddywax Candle Bar | South End
$39 includes materials and a 45-minute pouring session. Your candle is ready 3 hours after pouring, so plan a return trip. Shipping is $15 per candle. Reserve a listed time at thecandlebar.co and arrive 10 minutes early. Ages 5+; a guardian signs the waiver for under-18s.
📍 1930 Camden Rd, #130

🎨 Color Me Mine | South Charlotte
Paint an already-made pottery piece: $12 per painter plus pottery starting at $22, so the base minimum is $34. Paint, glazing and firing are included. Walk-ins only for regular visits; parties are separate. Allow about 7 days before pickup. Open Mon–Sat 10am–9pm, Sun 10am–6pm.
📍 7651 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Suite 29

🌿 PlantHouse | Dilworth
DIY terrariums start at $30 and take about an hour, with materials included. Choose plants, a vessel and decor. Closed Wednesdays. The reservation site currently shows maintenance, so call 704-431-3535 before heading over, especially with a group.
📍 2452 Park Rd, Unit D

Today, HRL took 22 Sophomores Students to explore Charlotte, North Carolina!
We started the day at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, had lunch at Optimist Hall and ended the afternoon making Terrariums at PlantHouse CLT! As we come to the end of the trip, we want to leave a piece advice to all of students…
As we enter into the last part of the semester, remind yourself that “the imperfections that we carry, are not evidence of failure, but the testament of how far we’ve come” (Amusan, 2025). One of the art pieces talked about the intersection of rest and development as you discover who you are and who you want to become. Take the rest of the weekend to truly appreciate the stillness!
Special shout to RC Jasmine for planning the trip and Apartments Coordinator Jordan for attending the trip! 🎉

Managers’ Retreat photo dump 💖🌿✨ We finally had the chance to get our entire crew of managers together in VB and it couldn't have been more amazing 🤗

From Operations + Marketing training to playing with power tools 🛠️💪🏼, way too much good food, and lots of laughs with our PlantHouse crew!

Huge THANK YOU to @yorkiesvb for the most delicious sandwiches & perfect meeting spot, @aura.theory for having us & reading our auras, @faithwestphotography for capturing the most beautiful headshots & group photos, and @thepinkhousevb for hosting our girls while they were in town 🌈📸💗

And of course, we had to show our girls all of our local favorites — Fueled our mornings with @theamericanbrew & @klassicdoughnuts ☕️🍩, enjoyed iconic VB views with dinner at @chicksoysterbar 🌊 and enjoyed the most amazing cocktails & dinner at @rosesva_ 🍸 Basically, we kept everyone very well fed 😂

Already looking forward to the next one 🌱 Forever grateful for our entire team that make PlantHouse all that it is 🫶🏼

Spooky season without the nightmares. 🎃

Neighborhood traditions, trick-or-treating, festivals, costumes and plenty of Halloween fun for the whole family around Charlotte.

Save this one for a less-scary October. 👻

Where do you plan to be in CLT?

Apparently we’re at the age where making plants together counts as a good time. 😂

And you know what? It really was.

We wanted to do something different from our usual date, so we tried @planthouseclt and had the best time learning, laughing and creating something together.

Nothing fancy. No big occasion. Just us getting out of the routine and making another memory.

10/10 for the married folks looking for something different to do together.

What an enchanting little evening at Plant House in Charlotte! 🧚‍♀️🌿✨

Our book girlies got creative making their very own fairy garden terrariums, and it was such a fun night filled with sipping, chatting, and letting our imaginations run wild! 🍷🪴

We loved seeing how everyone's minds work and getting to admire all the unique, magical creations. Fantasy Month definitely called for a little fairy garden magic, and this was the perfect book club social! 🧚‍♀️📚

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a whimsical evening! We can't wait for all the magical moments still to come. ✨
