Critics call American Wasteland a hyper-vivid genre-blurring assault that fuses the theatrical art-rock of Kate Bush, the fierce command of Annie Lennox, and the haunting, heavy-guitar melodicism of Evanescence. A self-styled sludge pop multi-verse trading clean pop gloss for bruised, industrial undertones that hit like a cathartic scream.

American Wasteland is both a map and a mirror, moonlight confessions and shimmering refuge with driving, chaotic energy. Colliding the pitch black diary desolation of Ethel Cain with the heavy, tantric guitar chaos of Chelsea Wolfe.

“Inside, we are ageless and when we talk to ourselves, it’s the same age of the person we were talking to when we were little. It’s the body that is changing around that ageless center.”

📍Sécurité from the bog:

September marks the 1 year anniversary of my third studio album, American Wasteland. Grateful to all who have lent their immense talents to building this wilderness with me. Cheers to my kindred co-producer and mix master @tommyhatz, to the epic list of musicians, voices, friends and supporters who uplifted this experience. Crafting this album is a life changing experience that remains close to my heart. Deep thanks to my favorite mastering studio @lurssen_mastering for your impeccable touch. To my amazing friend and creative director of visuals for this album @joeycultice. Massive thanks to @affairsfortheear for always fighting for me in rooms I’m not in.

Adorable cow kisses to all my patrons who have been clutch since day 1. Your extension of vulnerability and recognition of soul, the enduring currency of being an artist, allows me the strength to persist in the face of struggle. My community means everything to me. Deep appreciation to every #recordshop who’s given AW a chance to be heard on its historic floors and live on its shelves. To the radio stations DJ’s and outlets keeping its message heard, standing in solidarity with self-funded indie musicians despite corporate overlords.

I love you all. Thank you for sitting around the campfire with these stories and leaving your spellbinding embers.

We have so much more life and magic to share with one another. ✨
