Photographer of the Week - @plasticlights

Based in the Principality of Asturias, in the mountainous north of Spain, Juan O'Brian is a photographer shaped by the landscape that surrounded him from childhood — cold, foggy mornings, dense forests, and the quiet rhythm of village life. It is precisely that personal archive of early memories that drives his work, giving his images a quality that is at once melancholic and deeply nostalgic.

His connection to Fujifilm cameras comes from a practical and aesthetic place: the quality of the lenses, the versatility across challenging conditions — whether demanding light or unpredictable weather — and, not least, the beauty of the cameras themselves. For Juan, Fujifilm consistently delivers the results he seeks, regardless of the situation.

He currently shoots with the X-Pro2 paired with the XF 10-24mm, the GFX100RF, and the GFX50R with the Fujinon GF 32-64mm.
