The Lion and Sun emblem is one of Iran’s oldest historical symbols, with roots stretching back several centuries. It gradually became associated with Iran during the Safavid era and evolved into its modern form during the Qajar and later the Pahlavi periods. In common interpretations, the lion represents strength and courage, the sun symbolizes light and the glory of Iran, and the sword represents the defense of the nation.

During the Pahlavi monarchy (1925–1979), Iran’s official flag featured the green nun, white, and red tricolor with the Lion and Sun emblem at its center. The Islamic Terrorist Regime is at one of its weakest points in decades, and the momentum for freedom is growing stronger by the day.

I also warned Americans about the dangers of empty populist promises similar to Khomeini back in 1979 and mayor of New York Mamdani. History has shown us that leaders who promise “free everything” often deliver economic collapse, corruption, and less freedom. The people of Iran have lived through those false promises before and the world should pay attention.
