Family-owned and operated by Dominick and Dorothy Frabizio, @platnerbrookfarm is a thriving sheep and cattle farm in Delaware County, NY. What started in 2021 with just 15 ewes has grown into a healthy flock of several hundred sheep, plus a small herd of Belted Galloways added in 2023.
Our farm focuses on regenerative practices like rotational grazing to support both animal and soil health. We work closely with the Watershed communities and Pure Catskills communities to keep sustainability at the heart of everything we do.
A big part of our operation is our hardworking sheepdogs, two border collies, Mick and Nell, and three livestock guardian dogs who help care for and protect our animals on pasture.
Platner Brook Farm products include lamb and beef cuts (fan favorites: Frenched Racks, Lamb Chops, Lamb Sausages) and, in 2025, a line of locally sourced wool items made in partnership with Mountain Wool Co., including hats, socks, gloves, and blankets dyed naturally.
Visit us at the farm, find us at the Delhi Farmer’s Market, or order online with local delivery and 2-day shipping available. We love welcoming the community to meet our animals, see our sheepdogs in action, and enjoy fresh, local products!

🧦 HUGE restock on our customer favorite wool socks.

🐑 Get them at platnerbrookfarm.com/shop

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“These are the best wool socks I own and are head and shoulders above the rest. I love the turned-out toe seam, and unlike many all-wool socks, they do not bag out. Best of all, they actually stay up in my rubber work boots. After several weeks of wear and multiple wash cycles (cold, gentle, wool-specific soap, air dry), they have held up flawlessly. Get yourself a pair or three. You won’t regret it.“

There’s nothing I like more than hanging out with my neighbors while celebrating what they do and how they live their lives. I learn so much everyday…
Here’s a sneak peek of a moment I shared with my buddy Dominick Frabizio on his gorgeous sheep farm, with Mick, his trusty border collie.
