I started my sermon at Eleven22 this week telling a story of the first time I met Joby Martin years ago – late night, around a campfire, just him being broken over one friend who he wanted to know Jesus. God has taken that desire of his and breathed on it, and a massive historic movement of the gospel is taking place.

I ended my week there this morning, watching hundreds of the 900+ people who were baptized there – just today - in addition to the almost 5000 people who have already been baptized there this year alone. This church is doing more good in the world than almost anyone. But well beyond that – they simply preach the Bible, share the gospel, sing songs to Jesus – and tens of thousands of people are gathering every week together, and thousands of people are becoming followers of Jesus every year.

What marks this church is hunger. And humility. And generosity. And a passion for people to know and follow Jesus.

Their team is led by some of the most dedicated, humble, generous, kind people I’ve ever met. And Joby Martin is the real deal. I know him off the stage, and his integrity and purpose never changes. And I’m grateful to be his friend.

I was around some people who I’ve loved for years now. And I met some incredible people who are giving their lives for the things that matter most.

May God do everywhere what God is doing there.

It’s forever family Friday!
Two of our greatest joys are hearing stories and seeing pictures of former RACE Grant Recipients with the children who have been adopted into their families.
Adoption grief and trauma are real, and not all adoption stories are “rainbows and unicorns.” But the good news is that God can do the impossible! With their permission, we want to share briefly about Adam & Tiffany Platt, 2022 RACE Grant Recipients, who adopted their daughter Camila from Colombia when she was 11 years old. In 2024, due to a variety of disturbing behaviors, she was in and out of the hospital for mental health reasons and they were in a state of despair. Camila was moved to a Christian-based mental health treatment program that she completed and has recently transitioned to a girls’ home with Christian-based care as they all work to restore their family back to health and one another. Adam & Tiffany are trusting the Lord with great things for Camila’s life and for their family, whatever that may be. Please keep this precious family in your prayers.
