A huge thank you to Mark at Play 92 for having me on and giving me the opportunity to talk about the Indigo Alert and why this matters so much to me.

Not every missing person is an abduction.

Sometimes, a vulnerable child just wanders.

And when that happens, parents shouldn’t have to rely on a Facebook post going viral, neighbours searching, or hoping the right person happens to see their child.

But that’s the reality.

You’re suddenly texting everyone you know, posting everywhere you can think of, knocking on doors and praying someone finds them before something happens.

Minutes matter.

That’s why we need an Indigo Alert — something that can get the entire community looking immediately when a vulnerable person goes missing.

Because finding someone shouldn’t come down to luck, timing, or whether your Facebook post reaches the right person.

Please sign the petition.

And please share this. Even if you think it doesn’t affect you, it could one day matter to someone you love.

Let’s make Canada safer for our most vulnerable.

We’re teaming up with Play92.1 for a Period Product Drive!

From August 17–28, drop off period products at Play92.1 (1900 Rose Street) and you’ll be entered to WIN tickets to see Hilary Duff in Edmonton! 🙌

And a special shoutout to @markjohnstonfm Fun fact: Mark was the very first man to follow The Period Network on Instagram and he’s been one of our biggest supporters since day one. ❤️ We’re so grateful to have him helping us spread the word and get more period products into our community.

And speaking of supporting women… just wait until you see what happens when Mark tries the period cramp simulator. 😂😬

Stay tuned.
