Got kind of tired of posting these photo dumps, but then the other day I searched for queer Dhivehin/ Maldivians to see how it’s looking against the tourist spam, and the only result from an actual Dhivehi person was one of these dumbass posts by yours truly so here we are, posting memories as propaganda again.

Here's some pics of me DJing at @qqqst.park a while back and a poster for this Wednesday night, when I'll be sitting in the audience listening to a work in progress track of mine cover their incredible sound system, and hearing heaps of other producers' fresh tracks too. I'm nervous cause it's a personal one called No Hay Vuelta (There's no going back) and it's got my voice on it which I find terryfing, but the process is confidence building, so...bueno, vamos 💪🏽

I would highly recommend @playbackyourtracks to anyone trying their hand at production, it's really helpful, constructive and empowering to go through the process of having a supporting community listen on a great system and give you a few tips on how you could move the track to the next step if you need.

See you tomorrow!

2024 has been a wild ride. In a year of so many highs, my proudest accomplishment is overcoming my anxiety and PTSD and performing my new songs live for the first time. Last year I decided that I did not become a refugee to live under a rock. This year I found myself back in the light and I thrived. Here’s to seeing us all in bloom next year. Happy new year all, we made it yet again.

Soopa doopa excited to be a part of @playbackyourtracks tonight! Playing lots of live sets that are much longer has been my focus for so long that I honestly struggle with fitting in all of my ideas into a shorter track sometimes!! Can’t wait to receive feedback on my music and hear what others in the community are making behind the scenes too!
