🎺🎷Jazz in the spirit. Funk in the rhythm. Art in every detail. 🖤.
.
Doing a little research on sampling of the Great @milesdavis music.
You would be surprised who actually sampled his work. Artists from @djpremier to @kendricklamar & @thundercatmusic and many more included samples of Mr Davis’s Work..

EXCURSIONS 🎺
.
A Tribe Called Quest - “Excursions”

A Tribe Called Quest helped introduce jazz textures to an entire generation of rap listeners. While “Excursions” famously samples Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, the group’s production style and approach to rhythm deliver the same cool, exploratory energy Miles Davis brought to jazz decades earlier.
Q-Tip has often spoken about jazz’s influence on his production style, helping to connect jazz musicianship to hip-hop’s golden era.

Behind every legend is a story, and behind every story are the people who helped shape it. Salute to Grandma Rose, a woman whose love and legacy will always be a part of the story. ❤️💯

Some people leave a mark on one life, while others leave a legacy that reaches generations. 🕊️🌹
