Bringing together Georgia State Men’s Basketball and our K–5 KIPP Soul scholar-athletes for a Ready to Lead court session was bigger than just basketball.

Exposure, Confidence, and showing our kids what’s possible when preparation meets opportunity!

Huge appreciation to the GSU guys for pouring into our youth:
@manos.koveos @christian_beam54 @jakai.newton @jnelitetraining @kwaaams
& the entire program @gsu_mbasketball 🤝

Also shoutout to @gsusaac x @gsu_wbasketball for continuing to show up for our kids and to the women’s basketball athletes who came through and supported as well the presence matters. 💯

Creating real connections between college athletes and the next generation. The impact goes way beyond the court.

Shoutout to @adbailey_6 , Athletic Director at KIPP Soul Primary, for allowing me and other members of GSU Athletics to come out and spend time with the students. Being able to connect with the next generation and give back to the community means a lot. Opportunities like this remind us how important it is to inspire young athletes and show them what’s possible.

Appreciate the opportunity to represent Georgia State and pour into the youth.

Tonight’s episode of From Order to Outcome highlights the Play Ready League and KIPP Athletics.

Our journey started when Coach Bailey, the Athletic Director at KIPP Soul Primary, reached out on behalf of KIPP Athletics. He had a great idea he wanted to test. The vision was to introduce alternative athletics across the KIPP network by creating the Play Ready League, where schools within the KIPP family could compete against each other.

The reason I was brought into the conversation came down to one thing.
They needed great uniforms that could endure the season but also pop on the field and help each school stand out.

Of course I was all in.

Ready to Lead is back this week with @gsu_mbasketball joining our scholars.

The goal is simple: connect young athletes with people competing at the highest level to give them a dream of what they can become !

Organized chaos.

But this is the work I love. Creating space for kids to compete, grow, and believe in themselves.

🎁 A Holiday Moment to Remember

Last week, 15 KIPP Soul football and cheerleading scholar-athletes were surprised with Christmas gifts sponsored by @gsusaac and delivered with love, gratitude, and purpose.

From the field to the classroom, these young leaders have earned every bit of this moment. Special thanks to GSU SAAC for showing what it means to lead with heart and impact early.

Moments like this are what PlayReady is all about — building bridges between college athletes and the next generation. Exposure, belief, and belonging start early. 🙏🏾🎄🏈

Last night was special. 🙌🏾

A night designed to inspire, uplift, and empower our KIPP Atlanta football scholar-athletes through the voices of real collegiate and professional players.

Shoutout to these men who showed up and spoke truth sharing their journeys, challenges, and what leadership really looks like beyond the game. The energy was real. The impact was real. And most importantly, our scholar athletes left with something that can’t be taught in a playbook.

This is what the mission is about.⚡Athletes. Mentors. Leaders.
