🎥🐑 Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom film - Sydney preview screening and Flock Party

I've been a longtime fan of Wallace & Gromit and Aardman (Animations), so I couldn't wait to see their latest adventure!

In Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, we go to Mossy Bottom Farm and catch up with Shaun, Bitzer, Timmy and the rest of the flock, while meeting some fun new characters, including Mossingham's trusted vet. When the Farmer accidentally destroys the flock's beloved pumpkin patch just before Halloween 🎃, Shaun takes matters into his own hands and turns mad scientist - with hilariously chaotic results!

What's particularly wonderful about this film is that, like the Shaun the Sheep series, it relies almost entirely on visual storytelling rather than dialogue, making it incredibly easy to follow and enjoy even for the youngest viewers.

It's adorable, cheeky and oh-so-hilarious, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and Aardman's trademark slapstick humour. I enjoyed it so much and left the cinema with a huge big smile on my face!

This is a true family film that parents and kids can enjoy together, with enough clever humour to keep adults entertained too.
A must-watch for the whole family!

Thank you for the invite to this fantastic film and event. We had fun with the colouring in books and balloon animals!

Play Schema Series: 2. The ENCLOSING schema

Children exploring the enclosing schema like to contain things using borders and boundaries.

They learn containment, body awareness and about size, shape, volume and measurement.

They may create enclosures around objects, themselves or during mark-making activities.

This develops a sense of security as they organise and control their environment.

Check out these ideas of indoor and outdoor play, related stories, songs and rhymes, as well as some inspiring examples of activities you could do at home.

Putting this out into the universe for 2026 ✨

I keep coming back to the sessions that feel like a little adventure.

The ones where we’re walking down a grassy hill with the ocean in front of us,
climbing over rocks, or the kids are just off doing their own thing… collecting shells, balancing on logs, getting sandy and a little wild.

It’s never really about standing still and smiling…
it’s slower, a little messier, and feels more like real life.

And I think that’s what I want more of.

Families who are up for that kind of experience.
Who don’t mind a little walk, or a bit of exploring…
and just want to be in it with their kids.

If you’re reading this and thinking 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘶𝘴…
I would love to adventure with you 💛

I have a small number of spots remaining between now and June ✨

Heading off to my 6th shoot of the week tonight, ending it the very best way, chasing a sunset 🌅

This week has been filled with so many gorgeous sessions and beautiful families, and my cup feels very full.

This is one of my favourites from a family I’ve had the joy of photographing for the past 3 years. A little adventurous, a little chaotic, but that’s where the magic lives.

When parents trust me and let go, this is the kind of fun, love-filled moment we get to capture 💛

I recently entered a competition to see @the_christmas_spectacular and I’m so happy I ended up winning! From the moment we stepped into the theatre to the final bow, it was pure Christmas magic. The performances, the atmosphere, the energy absolutely unforgettable
The family and I loved every second. It’s still on in Canberra tonight, so if you’re even thinking about going… DO IT

Off to sunset with this gorgeous family tonight 😍

I’ve watched them grow over the years, and it’s such an honour to be invited back time and time again, to capture another season of their story.

A yearly photoshoot to document your family’s chapter — the little moments that change so much yet somehow feel the same.

It’s the same kind of joy I feel seeing the families who return each year for our Christmas Minis; little ones I once photographed as newborns now running wild at one, two, three years old.

Time really is a thief, but photos like these have a way of slowing it all down — a moment you can hold onto forever 💛

Another late Halloween post from us! I made this arcade-style target with cardboard, @makedo and our trusty Posca pens after seeing Jana from @playroomstories version. So far the most points before a miss and reverting back to zero is 205... Would your children like something like this?
