Brighton-based but with roots here in Plymouth, it brings us great pride to bring them down for a special homecoming show, their very first in Plymouth.

The Stanford Family Band extends the musical lineage of lost pop music, threading together the bittersweet glow of ’60s airwaves and open-field festivals with the glammed-up intimacy of ’70s singer-songwriters. Their music aches and shimmers in equal measure, carrying a sense of longing that feels both timeless and vividly alive.

Think The Beach Boys, Carole King and Big Star, or for the contemporary heads out there, Drugdealer, Sonic Boom and Alex Izenberg.

Join us for the official home-coming show for Brighton (via Plymouth)'s The Stanford Family Band at Cafe Momus - their first show in Plymouth! Support from understated-indie-psych-poppers Playwriter and thoughtful acoustic-indie-folk sensation Nay

Returning for their second Sweet Jeans show, Playwriter are a Plymouth-based band combining elements of late-60s and 70s soft-psych with 90s dream-pop.

Sharing similarities with the likes of Acetone, The Association and The Velvet Underground the group produce an understated and uplifting sound that feels easy and atemporal.

Making their debut Sweet Jeans show is Nay, a Plymouth-based singer-songwriter originating from the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Influenced by soft indie-folk and folk-pop, Nay’s music comprises of introspective hard truths that emerge from a constant self-reflective practice, each song meticulously thought-out to turn the mirror on the listener.
