"A catch with your dad is a finite resource. You never see it that way. It's that idea in a perfect world your parents are there to take care of you, raise you, and it all works out from there. You don't want it to be the other way. You don't want to have them taking care of you at the end. You don't think about it when you're younger. You don't think about it when you're playing little league. You don't think about it when they take you to the games, but one day you're gonna go out with your dad, he's gonna be throwing the ball and he's not gonna be the same. You're gonna have to stop and realize, 'Alright, we gotta go inside, take a break. We'll come back at this at a later date.' You kinda know it's the last time you're doing that." -- "It's this; isn't it beautiful that we can be here today? You know what I mean. It just carries on, doesn't it? 10 years on, you're like, 'Santana's throwing a no-hitter', and here we are. It's cool... We give what our dads gave us. So we're continuing it and we're enjoying it together. It's a beautiful day. It's just the spirit of it all, you know. It's the Mets. Like that's the thing with all of it. This team, man; I can't really bring it to words. We've talked about it. We've fallen in and out of love with baseball all the time, but it's the Mets that we care about. MLB itself really isn't the best, right. They don't know how to handle shit. I just wanna see the Mets win. Like, that's it. That's what my father gave me., and here we are celebrating that. It's very overwhelming and it's beautiful." -- "The way home we're gonna take, his dad showed him one day on the way home from a Mets game. We have some secret way home that we take that his dad sort of ninja'd one day. And my dad will be at home watching Gary Apple on the post game. So it's this weird cycle. The Mets, you know." -- "Oh, I most certainly (remember the last game with my father). It was the last game of the 2009 season. That season was horrific. We got tickets down the left field line.
