This Thursday 18.30-20.30

Bit of an impromptu opportunity to host Italian musician @northern_lighthouse_ has popped up. You should def skip late night shopping and come in for a look see. Some dark ambient textures in store.

It’s been a while since we did a meditation. Hopefully we can fit in a few more before the Christmas. A massive thanks to @mishmashdublin for hosting our weird bleeps, beeps and filter sweeps.

Happy Friday. Before tomorrow’s @bloopgroopdublin a throwback to co-founder Gary’s performance at Modular Meditations. Thanks for embracing the patch from scratch ethos and bringing us on a sonic journey. Ethereal drones with clangerous FM tones for our listening pleasure. Really enjoyed your set and a wonderful evening all round amongst like minded folk.

Thanks to @mishmashdublin as always for the amazing setting, tasty treats and allowing us to share our weird voltage controlled tones in public.

February was our first meditations of the new year. It proved to be a seriously enjoyable evening. The premiere of Daire and Gint playing together and it was seamless.

Drawing on sonic weapons from @weareelektron , @buchlausa @ashunsoundmachines hydrasynth and a @tastychips_synth GR1 they brought texture and otherworldly melodies to the wonderful setting that is @mishmashdublin

Finally getting some time to work on the backlog. More to follow soon

Next Saturday evening come join us from 6 for some modulations 🧘

Sonics will be brought by @flabbo and @uwm______ and we’re excited to take the journey with them.

Please not this is not an actual meditation, no need to bring a mat…. but we can’t guarantee you won’t be put into a trance.

Black gold and tasty treats to accompany the tones and drones from the always amazing @mishmashdublin

Q&A to follow if you want to get nerdy about tech or techniques

Sunday 19th
17.00-19.00

Next weekend, Sunday evening as opposed to our regular Saturday slot, we welcome @dj_doo_dat and @katieislaffan to treat us to some mischievous tweakery.

Two stalwarts of the ever impressive @bloopgroopdublin take over for what is sure to be a great evening. Very much looking forward to where they take us

We hope you can join us in @mishmashdublin for bloops bleeps and tasty treats. Q&A to follow each performance.

Our first meditations of the year saw a raw and hypnotizing performance from @last__eden

A really excellent display of fuzzy drones, driving rhythmical synth tones from her @somasynths Pulsar 23 and Lyra 8.

We ask that performers not come too prepared in terms of their set and explore their equipment on the fly. It can lead to some happy accidents or the occasional misdirection but in the case of Last Eden we were really treated something special. When a performer knows her equipment intimately it shines through. Thanks for a truly enjoyable set and a wonderful evening all round.

Thanks as always to @mishmashdublin for the tranquil space to explore sounds in. The chats and mingling over coffee and tasty treats are what bring the whole thing together.

Way back in time before AI enshitified everything into homogeneous sameness @analog_live_ delivered a masterclass in live electronics.

First time hearing the @vermonagear PERfourMER in the wild and he really made those oscillators sing. Really beautiful piece of equipment. Paired expertly with the @ericasynths Perkons and @abstract_instruments Avalon. The @squarpinstruments Hapax on sequencing duty. A very tidy setup indeed

Thanks to @mishmashdublin for being ever welcoming to the bleeps and filter sweeps

Still have last Saturdays performances at the forefront of our thoughts. It was a very special evening. Thanks again to everyone who played, who attended, who sipped the black gold, who spaced out, who chatted nerdy to each other. It was really a lot of fun. I’m still working through the backlog of videos. Some really special ones to come.

This is @matwarren from our last event of 25. Not your average modular setup. More like a cv controlled multi loop station with heaps of effects for his guitar. A really enjoyable set from start to finish.

A massive thanks to @mishmashdublin for allowing us to take over their space with our weird bleeps, beeps and filter sweeps.

Before tomorrow’s return to @mishmashdublin a snippet of when Éanna Cunnane @priorartsoundworks brought his Buchla in for a test drive. This was the first Buchla we’ve had at the meditations and we were treated to the synth without any effects coloring the sound.

It was great to hear the raw waveforms and hear Éanna speak about his setup.

As with every episode each artist is radically different. This sonic range really is a highlight to us. Please join us tomorrow for what will be a completely different but equally interesting affair. Sets from @last__eden, @lennondaire and @gint.stagram from 18.30 🎛️

SATURDAY 21st - SATURDAY 21st - SATURDAY 21st Sorry for the confusion it’s Saturday not Friday on the earlier post. Schoolboy copy and paste job 🫠

Peeks from behind the curtain….. Whisper it ‘Hiatus Modularis is over, Next take the rain’. Please join us for what looks set to be a great evening of sonic explorations. A debut from @lennondaire and @gint.stagram and a long awaited performance from @last__eden. Very excited to be back for our first event of 2026.

A massive thanks to @mishmashdublin for allowing us to take over their space with our weird bleeps and beeps. We hope you can join us for drones and scones. As with previous episodes Q&A to follow each performance.

Another performance from our events earlier in the year. An ethereal Sunday session from @declanbeare really hit the spot.

If ever there was a case that you don’t need a massive rig to make interesting music this was it. Armed with a @moogsynthesizers harmonicon a @korguk volca modular and some pedals Declan brought us to a state of relaxation with his ambient performance.
