Wrapped up a three day basic Damascus class at @newenglandschoolofmetalwork today, I learned more and had more fun in this class than I thought possible! Sure, I walked away with a handful of really cool Damascus billets, but the experience of being in such an amazing shop learning from the metal wizard himself, @nickrossiknives and making some awesome friends @benknives, @plum_iron and @dreck_metal was worth the entire trip. I’m hooked now and happily diving down this rabbit hole! I’m also extremely honored to have a knife made by Nick, whats even better is I got to watch him make it. Big shoutout again to Nick Rossi and @dereckglaser for putting together such an awesome class, I’ll be back for more classes soon! If anyone is interested in metalworking, go check these guys out, you might just get addicted to whacking hot metal with heavy objects too!
