@saltfeend new EP "Maiden Voyage" up for pre-sale and your listening pleasure on our @bandcamp page - link in bio. Out 12/2 on Bandcamp and 12/16 on all DSPs worldwide. Artwork by @daxedworddesign mastered by @keithkruz K-Kruz at Undisclosed Location Studios Evanston, IL

Press Release Sheet -
The Maiden Voyage EP delves into themes of science fiction and interstellar travel, drawing inspiration from Portland’s vibrant beat scene and electronic music community. The EP blends sample-based hip-hop with a more electronic-leaning downtempo style. Central to my live performances—and woven into my studio setup—is the Roland SP404, a key tool that shapes the sound of my productions.

PDX’s music scene has been an endless source of inspiration, from beatmaker meetups and sample-flipping challenges to live shows. The talent and warmth of the community here continually fuel my creativity.

Most of the tracks span from 2020 to 2025, with one exception: "Pesto Pizza," a track originally created in 2016 that I’ve reworked for this release.

I hope these beats bring you at least half the joy I had creating them.

My best 9 of 2016. I kind of have to laugh about following a trend, especially based on just 'likes' but whatever. I'll repost my 9 favs from 2016 over the next few days. Those are the ones I consider my best 9. #grablifebythehorns #cheers! #happynewyearseve
