The past week celebrating @rffaubion’s adult horror debut WHAT A NIGHTMARE has been more like a dream! It’s been so fun catching up with her while helping her with launch activities, and ngl, this is the book of hers I’ve been most excited to read! It was especially cool to attend a bookish Halloween mixer with readers put on by @lavenderpublicrelations (books sold by @undeadbookshop ). Finally had a reason to put on my witchy best 🧙‍♀️

@catherine took the first photo & we started the trend of everyone using that spot for photos (I take a lot of outfit photos, so my first instinct is to scout for my spot 🤣🤣)

With the world continuing to burn & constantly seeing headlines where the most vulnerable are the victims, it has been a balm to spend time celebrating women and their righteous rage. Most of us are so helpless in our day to day that it’s cathartic to see victimized characters be able to take back their power, even if it means burning it all down.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE is out now & so perfect for the season & especially if you’re a fan of CARRIE.

Spent my September and early October in museums letting artists new and old move me. Here’s a few shots from @lacma’s new building, the David Geffen Galleries.
I loved the way the building is designed around light so that the art can be experienced differently at different times of day.

If you’re an LA county resident, definitely take advantage of the free museum days/hours.

Stopped by @hello82official @hello82la this weekend to get our hands on EVAN’s album!! The freebies were cute but this was definitely one of the less eventful events they’ve had 😅. Anyway, happy to finally have physicals of Death of Me!! @h_evva_n - your talent speaks for itself, and I can’t wait to see how much more you grow from here!!

I still think Going Home is my fave track on the album, but honestly, how much I like each song changes every time I listen!! Noise is really getting me recently! Which are your faves?

Meant to plan a more extravagant outfit for this, but time got away from me & I was half focused on concert fits too. By the time, the @lucasmuseum opening party came around I had my closet and a dream!

Luckily, I had this drapey dress that reminded me of the elegant Admiral Holdo, the body chain I’d worn to my own digital gala 6 years ago, and my custom Star Wars jacket! And I think it all turned out quite nice. 😊

August 2026 - you were truly so full of surprises!
I don’t usually pay too much attention to eclipses and the random tarot readings that come across my feed, but this season kind of made me a believer 😅 & it sounds like August was a roller coaster for a lot of people.

But I always leave my favorite month feeling grateful and wanting to hold on to these long, golden days. In many ways, this is the start of a new era for me and I’m excited and grateful for anyone who has followed along with me thus far.

What a way to end my 30s and begin my 40th year - with so many of my favorite people and doing so many of the things I love. 🥰

So late, but I wanted to revisit when I saw the Odyssey at @thealex_theatre, which is a beautiful 100 year old historic theater! I didn’t win the war for IMAX 70mm tickets but this was a great alternative, especially since the theater itself is in classical revival style. Seeing one of my favorite Greek Myths play out in a place brimming with its own history felt special.

Thanks to my extensive @blackmilkclothing collection, I had the perfect dress for the occasion - one depicting the labors of Herakles.

Gorgeous inside the theater!

Just 11 miles worth of film 🤯

I have been blown away by the way this movie was made - practically with blood sweat tears - and with the intelligent & interesting discussions it has inspired online after. My feed for weeks was filled with film & literary analysis, tidbits about Ancient Greek instruments, music theory, and behind the scenes of film-making. It was glorious and made me happy to see that doing things the long way, the hard way does still matter and people can recognize that.

Still think this is a bit of an odd tagline in the context of classical mythology & even in the movie itself.

But in reference to defying the “inevitable,” or facing yourself even when it seems impossible, I suppose that fits. Much of the movie is about facing one’s actions, and the making of the movie itself - with such craft and care and difficulty - is a defiance against every talking head out here saying art is dead or that an easy way to make something must mean it’s the best way.

As for the movie itself, I honestly enjoyed it very much even as a lover of The Odyssey (original). These days unless it’s stated as a direct adaptions, I don’t expect “accuracy” and instead just look forward to the filmmaker’s interpretation of the text/story. This was not a way I’ve viewed The Odyssey or Odysseus before (as a meditation on what war does to a person & society), but I appreciated how Nolan used the story to explore these topics.

Kept up with tradition & stopped by @hello82la @hello82official pop-up for @enhypen ! I wasn’t going to buy an Engene version, but when I saw there were only like 3 Jungwon ones left, I panicked and got one. So it’s good to know that despite everything, I still have the crazies for my bias 😂

But actually, they did a great job with the execution of these ad/brochure type albums. It really felt like the junk i get in the mail- but much glossier & prettier!

My fave song is probably Two Fools, though Stuck has grown on me. What’s yours?

8.12.26. BEST NIGHT EVER with our BEST BOY Yeonjun!! 💫
Being able to attend the Billboard Live one night only event was peak for us as moawajjunies. Of course, neither of us or anyone we knew won the raffle for any of Yeonjun’s events. So it was an ordeal and required desperate measures for us to be there that night.

But I’m so, so grateful as I would’ve been so devastated if we hadn’t been able to see him at this event - and especially since that day turned out to be one of the worst mornings for me. So getting to see Yeonjun after all really helped me get through it. Yeonjun is such a star, truly, and we were so lucky to see him in such an intimate setting.

The summer is getting away from me, so here you get a 2 month recap & blog post (🔗⬆️) with my tarot-led reflections.

Overall, it was a good June and July. My tarot cards were positive (6 of Coins for June, 10 of Coins for July), but even those couldn’t have predicted the whirlwind of everything. It was actually a little like the summer of 2016 but with MORE manifesting and stress & sadness- but also as much joy.

I still can’t believe the things I got to experience, the dreams made true, the reunions, and the clarity. The sun returned to my sign, so not even the shadow of realizing some things weren’t what I thought they were could stay. I was reminded of what is possible and what is real. Thank you to everyone who showed up for me. 🙏🏼🙇🏻‍♀️

We are less than a week from my big birthday & honestly, I’m feeling pretty great. (Not physically tho bc I do have a post con cold which is so… that would happen to me.)
