Little Shay Byrd is 8 weeks old today! The last 2 months have been sleepless, but magical and I’ve truly never been happier. So in love with this little guy.

I fell in love immediately. Seamus (Shay) Byrd O’Connor is only 9 days old, but from the start he has felt like an old soul. My heart couldn’t be more full and @pocmarks and I couldn’t be happier. This little guy is our world.

1 Year of #ellynwithaygoeslive !! Words cannot express how grateful I am to have the support of my family & friends for the last 50 episodes of doing this show!! Who would know I wanted to be in front of the camera if I didn’t just start doing it myself?! What started as a way to live my own truth, gain confidence, & self compassion 🥰grew into a mission to share the privilege of diversity! I talk about this a lot on the show but I’m grateful to have grown up this way and now be able to have guests👥on my show that have incredibly varied backgrounds, experiences, bodies, and abilities! I pray 👏this show can be a window for people to see how beautifully varied life is and to learn to be open to others! People are infinitely fascinating if you take the time 🕑to dig deeper & have a meaningful conversation. A week ago today, I said goodbye to my team and family at @refinery29 with an incredible 90s party, so many hugs, and a vast amount of work and projects and memories to take with me. Any place is what you make of it, and for me I took the opportunity to make change from within as I advanced my career: writing articles about plus-size inclusion, being in every single video I could, producing videos, making tentpole films, being on the 67% Advisory Board, talking to every SVP and founder and executive I could about the things I loved, and leaving with an incredible, plus-size clothing collection #THEWEEKENDER by #R29xEloquii as my ultimate swan song. R29 helped a weirdo like me find my voice, and with that has allowed me to give others a voice. I love you, team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart #insideR29
