Something or Nothing?
~~~~~~
Discarded and Dumped
It sat waiting
For the Thursday 8.00 am pick-up
It had seen better days
Lain in style on silk
With a delicate whiff of oudh
Drawn out with caressing care
Read in aroused whispers
It’s ink chanted like prayers
Today the words were cried away
And the paper clawed by anger
The oudh lingered but smelled like a grave
The silk tatty yet clinging on like a shroud
Had it ever meant something?
Had all those wows meant nothing?
Just bodies slaked while the souls cheated?
Just something done and over with nothing held together?
Discarded and Dumped
It sat waiting
For the Thursday 8.00 am pick-up
~Soul Journey~
“The path you walk is sacred, so don’t you dare stop,
When those road blocks arise or the bottom may drop.
The distracted, the careless, the ones on the wrong side,
The “crash dummies” who refuse to yield, turn, or to guide-
Their broken mirrors and noise shouldn’t slow your momentum,
Never let their petty struggle break your heavenly strive, remember this quantum:
You were meant for a purpose far bigger than them,
Release the control wheel, continue to let God drive.” #iSAY
